band trip
I'm apoligizing in advance for the long entry.
well I finnaly arraived back in the home about 9:30 last night from canada and i never thought i would say this but i was acctually really glad to get to the school. The trip itself wasnt bad it was a little stressful cuz of somethings that went on by overall it was awesome. So heres the tip in my view. (speeling is not garenteed to be correct.)
Thursday: get to school and have to wait for drew to get there. he gets there and i get my bags checked and surrendered my id and birth certificate to him. got on the bus and then had to get off cuz i realized i didnt have my instrument. get that and then we leave at like 7:30ish a.m. start listening to music and playing Tim's gameboy color like the moment we leave and mr.drew stops talking. Stop for Breakfast around 9:30a.m. and then get back on the road. Stop somewhere along the high way in the neverending state (new York) for lunch. Check in at the hotel somewhere in the viceinety of 4:30 pm. Get let loose at 5:45 in the tourist strip where we are staying with money for dinner and instructions to stay in groups of at least 4 and be back at the hotel for 8 pm. so Pat, ashley, amanda, sharii, leah, chad, and i head out and get dinner and then wander the streets for a couple hours stoping in some touriosty type stores and then starbucks before meeting back at the hotel. After everybody gets there and we count off we head down to Niagra Falls to watch them be lit up. get let loose in the same place for a couple more hours in which time we hit starbucks again and then go back to the hotel for a little meeting and room checks. Try to go to sleep but cant cuz of the loud party next door with the people getting drunk.
Friday: Colleen's alarm goes off at 6:00 AM so we can be ready on time. Wake up call is at 7 but by the tiem it comes half of us are already dressed and the others are working on it. Breakfast was at 8 and we had to be back down in the lobby with all of our stuff packed and ready to go by 9 so we could go do our concert. Do the concert (which was really bad) and then the girls get on the bus and change into regular clothes and then we get off and the guys get on. We walk over to the maid of the mist and do another count off get on and do the tour of the falls then get off do count off. Get instructions that we have to be back at the bus by 1 so we can leave whioch gave us an hour to get lunch. so th3e same group of people go get lunch and then head back to the bus after we hit starbucks again. EVerybody gets back, another countoff and we head out to Toronto. Get to Toronto and we unload all of our stuff at the next hotel and then have an hour to chill before we load the bus again to go to the red sox game which was awesome. It was a little long and it would have been better if we had won but it was still fun. Got back to the hotel at midnight or a little after and then fell asleep around 1 AM.
Saturday: Again colleen's alarm went off at 6, wake up call was at 7, and then breakfast was at 8. we loaded the bus at like 9 i think counted off and then went to pick up out tour guide. Had a 2 hour tour of the city which was cool cuz i got to see some awesome architechture that was there. After the tour we went to the hard rock cafe for luch where we had the best waiter ever. Then we went to the EAton Centre which is a five floor mall. We got in went down to the food court counted off and then were let loose with instructions to be back at the food court for 5 which ment we had 4-5 hours to walk the mall. Our group split into two different groups with my group consisting of Pat, Chad, Chris, and me. we walk the entire mall twice, went through the 5 floors of Sears, stopped for starbucks, Pat and I bought lightsabers and he bought a darth vader Voice changing mask, then went back to teh food court half an hour early. Left the mall after doing another couple of count offs and went back to the hotel where we chilled for two hours before the pizza party. ended up getting in trouble for being in pat's room but before i got kicked out me and him had a minin saber duel. WEnt down the the party at like 7ish where half our table was slap happy form lack of sleep stayed down there talking and listening to the jazz band till 10 and then got sent to our rooms for room chck and bed. Ashley, Leah, nd I got the room in trouble twice cuz we were still slap happoy and just lauging hysterically and being too loud. Couldnt sleep all night except for maybe an hour.
Sunday: Again same moring routine with colleen's alarm, wake up call, and breakfast. Have to be down at the lobby for 9:15 AM with all of our stuff loaded it on to the bus and after counting off we left around 10. hung out in the back with pat ashley and amanda but it was weird cuz everybody pretty much was either listeing to their music or sleeping so it was reallly quiet. Cross the border after haveing every body"s pass port and photo id checkd and then stop for lunch. on the bus for another 6 hours before stoping for dinner on the mass pike where we sit at the rest stop for an hour. finnally get back to school at 9ish PM and unload all the bags and instruments form the bus as well as the trailer, grab my meds from drew and go home. get to bed at like 10:30ish.
Random trip details: The emergency hatches on the bus leaked, the seals around the windows leaked, it rained about half the time we were up there, and the bus driver watched the movies while driving and almost got us killed like 20 times. But i still had a blast and would do it again in a heart beat. Oh and i still havent unpacked yet my bags are still sitting on the kitchen floor. i got some good stories and memories out of it also so it was well worth it.
