Disclaimer/Notes/Whatever: I'm not Kishimoto. And this is inspired by what angels_requiem and istoria have done already with Nejiko about Tentsuke and Tentsuke about Nejiko. And the reason for the Neji/Tenten tag is because it's hard to talk about one without mentioning the other. Leigh's observations on Nejiko coming later, after I've pestered angels_requiem more. >3
#1 He is the big brother I never had. I can go to him about anything. He's also uber-protective of me. We both know I'm more than capable of taking care of myself, but I like being protected every once in a while and he likes being the protector. This annoys Nejiko but Tentsuke and I have fun.
#2 He has tried every possible way to get me to relinquish my fudge recipe once he saw how much Nejiko loved it. However, I cannot be bribed, cajoled, though the begging *almost* worked. (He's got such cute puppy-brown eyes, and they get so big when he's sad...) Yay for firm resolve.
#3 During one of his excursions into the Hyuuga compound, he snuck me out a small bottle of the shampoo Nejiko uses. It's one of my most prized possessions, and I'm saving it for when I go on an actual date with Sakurai-kun.
#4 He has cured me of any dizziness I might've had. Not even Nejiko's Kaiten can faze me, balance-wise. (Unless I'm flung into a tree or the ground, but that's a different story.)
#5 He gave me my first pair of nunchaku. Though he's taught me how to fight with all sorts of things to make up for my inability to mold chakra, I'm better at that weapon than I am at any other.
#6 He probably knows I once had a crush on him, but not anymore. He's too much like family to feel a romantic love. (And my heart belongs to Sakurai-kun.)
#7 He thinks about three things: weapons, food, and Nejiko. But he doesn't forget me.
#8 He has never given up in his quest to get my fudge recipe. I now boast the village's most impenetrable security system for a cookbook, and am constantly updating it.
#9 He always sleeps with a weapon nearby, if not in-hand.
#10 He eats often at my place because the dork forgets to buy his own food in his quest to save money. I don't mind the sharing or the company, and it provides for much entertainment when he tries to get at my cookbook, or simply glares at it as it taunts him with its existence...and its security.
#11 He keeps acorns in his buns for Risu. [ooc note: Risu is Leigh's squirrel friend.]
#12 He has a fangirl following. Nejiko's usually better able to deter them, but the ones she misses are mine to deal with.
#13 He comes to me, sometimes, to talk about Nejiko and to try to understand her. But there are some things that only another girl would understand.
#14 He and I have worked together on occasion to combat Nejiko's fanboy following.
#15 He teases me about my love for Sakurai-kun, but I know he's rooting for me.
#16 Aside from wanting to beat Nejiko in a fight, Tentsuke's never discouraged my dreams.
#17 He knows how to tie hair into buns better than I can. I usually have to use sticks or senbon to keep my hair up.
#18 He's brilliant when it comes to all flavors of math.
#19 He doesn't like that Nejiko's so cold and emotionless towards many things so he tries and does things that would get some sort of emotional reaction from Nejiko. Anger and annoyance aren't the best of emotions, but they are, at the least, emotions.
#20 He flirts with other girls all the time, but it's just practice for him to get the courage to be able to do the same with Nejiko. To him, they're honestly just people of the female sex no matter their appearance. Nejiko, to Tentsuke, is woman. The only woman.
