Disclaimer: I don't own anything, really. Also, this is the first ANYthing I've written in almost two years, so it sucks.
Kurama watched the koorime through the window as he sat pensively in the branches of the tree across the way. He felt sorry for the spiteful little fire demon, but at the same time knew there was nothing he could do. He had no idea what had even happened to make Hiei act this way, but it must have been something drastic, else wise why would he have come here to brood? Kurama suppressed a sigh as he moved away from his vantage point, wishing he could help somehow. It was so hard for him, sometimes, to be forced to watch his friend suffer and know that as much as he wished he could offer some aid, he was completely helpless in the face of Hiei's unnamed problems. On more the a few occasions he even feared he was the problem, the cause for his friend's anguish.
But there was nothing for it. Reluctantly he pushed aside his concerns for Hiei and turned back to face the demands of his human life. Yes, he often wished he could ease his companions mind, and maybe some day he would get the chance, but now was not the time.
Alright, so it really sucks. :( Hopefully I'll get back in practice.
