Mark walked out of his and Roger’s bedroom, walking into the middle of the loft and looking around, smiling.

It was Christmas Day, and his first one while being with Roger. He wanted to make this one memorial.

“Hey Sleepy Head,” came a voice from the kitchen, causing Mark to jump.

“Jesus Roger, don’t do that,” Mark said glaring at Roger as he walked over to the rocker, smacking him on the arm.

“Sorry,” Roger whispered into Mark’s ear, wrapping his arms around the filmmaker’s waist, pecking him on the lips.

Mark smiled and kissed Roger again, “You’re forgiven.”

“You know what day it is today right?”

“Hell yes, it’s Christmas,” Mark told him, smiling.

“Damn right. Not, what you get me?” Roger asked, laughing at the glare that Mark was giving him.

“Let me go get it,” Mark smiled as he walked off towards his old bedroom, searching through his closet for Roger’s gift. He grinned as pulled out a new black guitar case with a red ribbon around, held within was a new black and red Fender for Roger.

“Oh, he’s going to love this,” Mark said to himself, smiling as he climbed out his closet and walked back to the main room of the loft.

He smiled as he saw Roger lying on the couch, eyes closed.

“You better be awake or you’re going to have wait for this one,” Mark teased. He laughed as Roger’s eyes opened and was sitting straight up, his back resting against the armrest.

“Come bring me present now!” Roger demanded, laughing as Mark quirked an eyebrow and rolled his eyes.

“You better like this,” he mumbled walking over to the couch and sitting in front of Roger, placing the guitar case down on the musician’s lap.

“Holy shit! You got me a new guitar case?”

“There’s something inside it too.”

Roger looked at the filmmaker, confused, but pulled the ribbon off the case and opened it.

“Oh my god! Mark, how could you afford this?”

“I’ve been saving for a while,” the blond said, looking at Roger, his face red from blushing.

“I love you so much,” Roger said, reaching over the guitar case to kiss Mark.

“I love you too,” Mark whispered, blushing even more.

Roger laughed, closing the guitar case on down on the coffee table and reaching under the couch. He pulled out a large, navy blue scrap book.

“I know this isn’t as great as yours was, but, I really hope you like it,” Roger said, handing the scrapbook to Mark.

Mark took it and placed it in his lap, getting a full look at the cover.

In large, silver letters it read, ‘My gift is my song and this one’s for you’.

Mark smiled and opened the book. On the first page it was picture of Roger and himself kissing. Below it were the lyrics to Elton John’s “Your Song.” It was the song that was playing when Roger had told him he loved him.

He smiled as he turned the pages, memories coming back at full throttle with each and every different snapshot.

“Roger, this is amazing. It’s the best gift I’ve ever gotten,” Mark said, looking into the eyes of his rocker.

“Turn the page,” Roger whispered.

Mark did so and gasped. It was picture of the two of them playing at the park in Scarsdale.

“Oh my god,” Mark whispered, his fingers brushing over the picture.

“Do you remember when we first met?” Roger asked.

“Of course I do. You helped me get across the monkey bars that day after I had fallen off them,” Mark said, the memory coming back.

“You were really small for a five year old,” Roger teased, laughing.

“Yeah, well, leave me alone,” Mark said, blushing.

“Aw, you know I love, but, we definitely need a lot more snapshots to finish this,” Roger smiled and pulled Mark in for another kiss.

This was a Christmas that neither of them would forget.
