This was absolutely beautiful, the picture and the story both! The descriptions in the fic were so wonderfully vivid--I could see Clark's sun-drenched apartment (and Clark himself) perfectly--and they fit the artwork to a T. And what yummy artwork! The rich golden light! The woodgrain on the nightstand! The bat pillow case! Eeeee!
As for the fic, loved the description of Bruce trying not to get caught in the sunlight--I could practically hear him (silently) squeeing every time he spotted a shadow! And the details of Clark's apartment were so interesting to read through. I love "seeing" characters through their living spaces and what they own--it's a huge not!kink of mine, and this fic really catered to that. =P Although I have to ask (I couldn't figure this out :( ), who is L.H??? I'm sure I should know this and it's killing me that I don't, lol.
Eeeee, and the bat pillow case, the bat pillow case!!!!!!! So awesome, SO AWESOME! And so cute!
Love the touch with Bruce rearranging Clark's glasses, too (and that he never really saw Clark's face). And in general, this fic just warmed my heart with how caring Bruce is towards Clark here.
Plus, I really loved the idea that Bruce, the man who cares about Clark more than nearly anyone else, hasn't given Clark any physical tokens of friendship. Which might be weird, but I like thinking that their connection is so strong that it goes beyond that in some way. :)
The picture had such a warm, quiet feeling to it that it was a joy to try and capture it in words!

Lian Harper, son of Roy Harper (Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow), and the only established non-annoying child in the DCU. :)

o_O That's interesting, I hadn't realized it until you said it, but I've been elaborating on this theme in a different story right now! Obviously it's one that has a lot of appeal for me too, it seems... :)
Thanks so much for the sweet comment and I'm glad you liked it!
