Very dynamic, creepy, and really captures the subject's desperation. I don't know the series, but he looks like he's suspended in solution in a tank-- I can almost hear the poor thing thumping and scraping at the glass to get somebody's attention.
Doing the scrapes on the glass was...more fun that it should have been >->
I understand entirely too well. I have fond memories of my mother looking at a picture and saying "...is that a severed finger over there in the corner?" and me grinning guiltily and going "Nooooo..." (yes). :D
I had this vague thought that it would be cool to do something with Cielo going crazy, and I mentioned it to Kiwi, and then she brought home the sketch for this -- and homg, so awesome and inspirational. I think I'm starting to see what this whole inkspot thing is about. ^^
Oooo wow! The sci-fi paragraph paired with emotional art reminds me very much of the Evangelion series, where giant mainframes were named after biblical figures.
Oh, I can totally see that! ^^; I mean...the execution is really different, but DDS is definitely another series that does a lot of blending of sci-fi and religious elements.

Oh, it's lovely, the combination of the picture and the words. Gives me shivers. I'd always wished they'd gone into more detail about real!Cielo.

Yeah, I mean, the thing about Cielo being a former canidate is missable, if you don't talk to the right NPCs...
