My family's crackers

Dec 26, 2005 21:27

We had fantastic crackers this year. There were eight in the box, and each one contained a plastic whistle which played a different note. Also in the box were instructions on how to play various tunes, and a conductors baton (well OK, more like a disposable chopstick, but still...).

Since there are only four of us here this year, yesterday's tune-making was a bit strained, and required a fair bit of trying to sing the missing notes. But today we had the other four, and took two whistles each. Pandemonuim ensued! Mum couldn't remember who had which number whistles, Gran couldn't remember which of her whistles was which, Dad's signaling for the high or the low note was unclear and I hit the candle stand with the baton, then tried to play all the notes at once.

I would highly recommend you all invest in some for next year.

family, christmas
