Yanagi Stage Report - Apocalypsis of Redon

I attended the first performance of Yanagi's new stage, "Apocalypsis of Redon" on Wednesday night in Tokyo. The stage was presented at the New National Theatre at Hatsudai. That's a prestigious venue, and the National Opera is located in the same complex.

The play was fabulous. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back to Japan, maybe Christmas, maybe not until next year. Keep an eye on the comm, though, because I'm going to try and post regularly about what Yanagi's doing.

Our broken conversation included us agreeing that Yanagi was very kawaii, that I was a stalker and that the play had been sugoi. ^_^

Oh, I'm so glad to hear from you! You see, my Japanese is almost non-existent so I can't identify that level of nuance, beyond seeing them using the book. I've unpacked now and pulled my Story and Photo Book out, and fixed the title error. Apparently, the title is Apocalypsis of Redon, according to those, so we'll go with the third time lucky option! ^_^

It really was fabulous! I ordered the DVD on the night; I found a lovely person to help me fill in the form because I couldn't make heads or tails of it, and put down Youngest Son's mailing address. I should probably tell him at some point. :D Once it gets here, I'll rip and upload it because it was just brilliant!

Hahahahahahahaha! I am resigned to Yanagi thinking that I'm a total fruitcake and am waiting for the point where he runs away screaming when he catches sight of my pink hair. ^_^ It was such a wonderful play and I'm looking forward to seeing what he does next!
