pink martini and the ho-town hayday
made a super fast trip to ho-town last weekend. (is that the proper hip hop bubblegum abbreviation for hollywood, btw? here we've got "mo-town" as modesto, in college chattanooga was "chat-town" so why can't hollywood be
ho-town? ) to see total fav group, pink martini, discovered while chillin' with the likes of mishdogg, passionseeker, and forkintheeye in san francisco over a v-day holiday of yore. from amoeba music warehouse on haight street to the hollywood bowl in three short years. ah, how love grows. :) the concert was super cool. they totally packed the bowl. and i'm always a sucker for a firework finale.
looks like i'll be down there again in two weeks to fly out of LAX to maui for the sibling's wedding. and then again during christmas. oh and my mother-in-law would like to extend an open house invitation to all y'all for christmas eve. so, ye so cal-ers, if you ain't got anything else to do come christmas eve, well, stop on by. same address as last time. and hey! joske, you putz, you can call me to get directions if you want to come this time.
