just as we had finished up at the race, sunday, and after i no longer felt like vomiting upon crossing the finish line, our friend kirk and i were walking our gear back to the truck when he turns to me and says, "i missed the loud rock music that they play during these types of events on TV."
"yeah, kirk, i did, too. it sure would be nice if life came with a soundtrack."
then the next day i was reminded of that conversation when "better now" by collective soul came on the radio. i've always thought that i'd pick it as my soundtrack theme music.
what would you choose for the soundtrack of your life?
and speaking of music, i've got my beloved canadians playing...mmmm..the addiction is huge. probably the longest crush i've ever had on a countryman...well besides you, korster64 and then i guess stephen was half canadian...ironic, isn't it then, that i married a man of singular americanism, one, in fact who's never been outside north america?
hey mishdogg, remember when you tried to talk me into trying to get into a nickelback concert just by carrying a camera and (i assume) flirting my way backstage? i could still go for that. seeing them at least. maybe i'll just resign myself to paying for a ticket next time they're in LA.
jen and jesse will be here tonight! woot! i'm making them homemade lemon risotto, a kick-ass original salad creation, and strawberry shortcake (from scratch) for dinner.
