As creator and exec producer of ABC’s Castle, Andrew W. Marlowe has spent a whole lot of the last three years keeping his title character and Beckett apart, and wondering how long that can go on. One thing he does know: He’d be getting pretty anxious right about now if he were Bones‘ Hart Hanson and the couple in question was Booth and Brennan.

Not to mention Bones is about to go into its 7th season. As much as I love it I don't expect more than 7, maybe 8 seasons if we are lucky. It's time. It is possible to have main characters get together and not kill the show. It just involves good writing and planning.
I don't know. My parents used to watch Bones before I did but then they stopped watching. A few weeks ago my dad saw me watching an new episode and asked me if Booth and Brennan had had sex yet. I said no.
"What is it? Like the 5th season?"
"No the sixth."
"That is way too long. They should have gotten together already."
I found it funny that that was his only question and reaction to a show he used to be invested in and he was someone who really didn't give two shits about the relationships on the show.
I think it is interesting though to see what Marlowe has to say. When a fan says they want to see Booth and Brennan together Hart can shrug it off and dismiss it as an overly enthusiastic fan who doesn't know any better. But in this case it is someone who is in the same position he is but has a drastically different view as to what should happen.

No they haven't and they're in their 12th or 13th season and have had the tension there... so I don't understand why Bones is different?

Not to mention they had Stabler having his on again off again relationship with his wife. If you aren't going to have the characters get together, then you should make sure they have lives outside of each other. With Bones, Brennan rarely gets involved with people and when she does Booth is there to get in the way. And then when Booth is with someone it's made clear he really would rather be with Brennan. It's things like that, in my opinion, that makes Bones different from SVU. So while it's possible for a man and woman to be partners and be close and just work together on a show set up like SVU, it's not like that with Bones. It was always intended for the show to depend on their tension, their relationship and eventual getting together.

They are currently in the 12th season. To be honest Stabler & Benson havent really gone there, and im not sure if fans have been asking about it! The reason why Bones is different is that the cases and there character development is far better! Its probably why, we havent gone cranky!

Seriously, there's no reason for a rival network showrunner to go around blathering about what should happen on other shows.
Have a big bowl of STFU Andrew, and worry about your own show.
Right now, disgruntled Bones fans are worshipping at the AM altar saying "he's so much smarter than HH and knows how to write a real romance."
Well...a lot can happen in a show season. Any season could be the last. And if ABC says "keep the leads apart or no renewal" is Marlowe going to say "but I promised the online fandom I wouldn't do that!" ?
I hope someone brings this article up in two seasons if Caskett still aren't together.
