Is it this one? in Part 2 chapter 3 (I think) Booth elbows her in the eye by accident and then they try and cover it up but it doesn't work and it spreads around the lab.

There is a new one....well, rather recent on FF.net where Booth gets so mad that he pushes her? Or hits her...or something like that. I don't think it's what you are looking for though.

I do believe, long ago, when I started reading FF's that there was a fic about a drugged/drunk booth who hit brennan. I'll have to think on it.

I am first looking for stories that touch on Brennan's revelation in "Mayhem on a Cross" about her time in foster care.

My first fic used that as its main foundation (also, the one I'm working on currently will be most likely entirely focused on those years. I should have it finished sometime between now & the end of time. Heh). You wouldn't find it on FF.net, though, so it might not be something you've read before/what you're looking for.

Regarding the second one, this fic by ama_blue doesn't have him hitting her, but Bones does get hurt because of him (while he's drunk), so it's probably up your alley. Also, it's a great fic. Win/win.
