Name: Zhelana - I mean, I have a legal name and all, but even my real life friends call me Zhelana. Only my parents and husband call me Danielle - although some call me Dani, mostly at Temple.
Age: 35
Location: Atlanta
Tumblr/Goodreads/IG/etc: I have a goodreads and facebook and IG and twitter. I'm happy to share them if we become friends.
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I am a fat, disabled, bisexual, uncomfortable female who doesn't really feel male either, and who is happily married with two dogs and two cats, but no children. I write, volunteer at Georgia Aquarium, volunteer reading to a 2nd grader, am in the SCA, take walks while playing Pokemon Go, golf, swim, write pysanky (google it - it's awesome!), and still shoot black and white film, which I develop myself in a darkroom downtown. I have a masters degree in Latin American history, but I failed to get a phd because I failed my foreign language exam. I am a Jew by choice, and am currently studying for my bat mitzvah. I am the author of that December meme that goes around every year - the 31 day one that starts "a photo of yourself taken this year."
Top 5 fandoms: I still actively write for seaQuest DSV. Also love Firefly, Star Trek, Star Wars. The final spot should probably go to sports (football, hockey, soccer, baseball, olympics), but I'm not in fandom for that inasmuch as I don't like RPF and won't write it (except for occasionally doing mean things to Donald Trump in seaQuest fanfics!)
I mostly post about... Day to day life, then I have a series of weekly posts I make including Music Monday, Crafting Tuesday, What are you reading Wednesday, an A-to-Z challenge, and questions from the book If: Questions for the Game of Life.
My last three LJ posts were about...My earliest memory, a rambly post about my vet not calling me back, postseason hockey, writing, my dogs being sick or hurt, I ran out of all my meds and can't get more until the 24th, but weirdly I feel better so I'm wondering how much I need them, and the fact that Saturday is the 30th anniversary of my grandfather's death, so I'll be going to temple to remember him. and a post about how I almost became a marine biologist but failed chemistry so I had to change my major.
Don't add me if: You think people on disability are just lazy.
How often do you post? How about commenting?: I post every day, sometimes multiple times a day. I comment when I have something to say. I do read every day, at least once a day, and usually multiple times.
