So I took the week off ...
And it's been wonderful. Me and Mulder - when he's home. He's done a couple of book signings and I wasn't up to going with him, so he comes home full of stories. It's wonderful to see light in his eyes.
We have hope. Hope that the anti-virals will work. Hope that there is a cure in the future. Hope in the world again.
I go back to work Monday. Full time - depending on how the meds rip me apart. Anti-virals are NOT fun. But it's better than chemo. Anything is better than chemo.
But right now I'm sitting on the porch, watching the dog chase squirrels. Mom and Walter are coming over for dinner. For the first time in two years ... I feel ... normal.
If only for a moment.
