[Very Late] Post-Wedding Picture Post.

Nov 09, 2009 09:56

My husband and I were married at Mount Vernon (in Virginia) on May 2, 2009. We just celebrated 6 months of wedded bliss. It took me forever to get around to uploading pictures to LJ because we had over 1500 to go through, and then had to order prints, and our album (which is gorgeous), and photobooks for the parents, etc., etc. And get to the business of being married. But here they are, finally!

The Mount Vernon Inn

Our ceremony and reception venue. The inn is located right next to the entrance for the Mount Vernon historic estate.

My Bouquet

My gorgeous even-better-than-I-dreamed bridal bouquet. Filled with pale pink and creme roses, pink tulips, freesia, and lily-of-the-valley. It smelled like heaven.

Bridal Portrait

My favorite of the bridal portraits.

Bridal Portrait II

I wanted a bit of a vintage theme throughout the day (lace gown, vintage style jewelry), and the sepia toned shots totally got that.

Me & Mom

Me with my beautiful mom. She was totally freaked out that her dress looked white. I told her that I knew it wasn't...but then had the photographer touch it up in prints and the album. :) For the record, it was "ice pink."

Bridesmaids

Me with my lovely ladies.

Groom

My husband, Zack, getting dressed.

Groom II

I married such a handsome fellow.

Down the Aisle

I walked down the stairs alone to meet my grandfather, who walked me down the aisle.

Watching

My husband and his groomsmen watching me come down the aisle.

Down the Aisle II

With Grandpa. It had been raining all afternoon (stopped just before the ceremony!), so I went out with my dress bustled...here, my friend Rachael tries to undo it for full effect.

Down the Aisle III

Dragging the beautiful train of my dress through a big puddle (which is why everyone is looking behind me instead of at me). Ah well.

Ceremony

The ceremony begins!

Ceremony II

Listening to our pastor.

Vows

My husband watching me as I say my personal vows to him. We each said a little something to each other beyond the traditional vows.

Vows II

Me watching him say his vows. He must have said something sweet!

Ceremony III

A perspective shot under the tent.

The Kiss!

The kiss!

Husband & wife!

Being announced as husband and wife!

Cake

My beautiful cherry blossom cake.

Dinner

This is the table my parents and family sat at. It gives a nice perspective on how beautiful our venue was! Because of the murals on the walls, we didn't have to do a lot of decorating!

Bridal Party

Us with our bridal party.

My Brother

My non-emotional brother Dave became very emotional on our wedding day. This shot was not posed at all!

Parents

With his parents and mine.

Couples Portrait

One of my very favorite shots, inside the doorway of the Inn. She obviously played with the colors, but I *love* it. We have a 16 x 20 blowup of this in our bedroom.

Couples Portrait II

Outside of the Inn.

Couples Portrait III

Our photographer gave us a few minutes alone...but not really. :)

Grand Entrance

Making our entrance into the reception.

First Dance

To John Legend's "Stay With You."

Toast

Our best man, Ryan, gives his toast. He was my good friend in college, and introduced me to my husband about 4 years ago.

Party Time!

What reception would be complete without a conga line?!

Cake cutting.

Having recognized how much my hair and makeup cost, my groom carefully feeds me cake without making a mess. :)

More Party!

Guests rocking out to "Living On a Prayer."

Even More Party!

My step-dad and brother singing along to Bon Jovi. So glad my photog got this shot!

End of the party.

The water bottle in my hand demonstrates this was near the end of the night. This was probably "Don't Stop Believin'." These last few shots show just how much fan everyone had dancing their pants off!
