So, first of all, everything went fine. Everything felt very normal, just like a normal day with crazy things going on. But it made it very real. I didn't cry at the ceremony, I bawled at the rehearsal dinner, since we had decided to say our own personal vows then instead of the big day and man was that a good idea! His were beautiful and I barely got a sentence into mine before I started crying.
Things went wrong, but nothing that upset me in the slightest the day of the wedding. The "biggest" problem was we had to fight the caterer to bring out sweet tea. For some reason they only made unsweet (against our wishes and contract) and said they couldn't make sweet tea. (I don't even drink it, but everyone else in my family/friends does)
My flower girl was sick so instead of walking down the aisle and throwing her petals she just cried on the ramp and I convinced her to walk down with me and my dad.
As far as pre-wedding stresses... the catering manager I dealt with sucked, she charged my parents 3 or 4 times for the reception b/c she kept screwing up the prices. She managed to get the numbers wrong and had to fix it when I came in to drop of the centerpieces and make us pay more to add the 5 people she neglected and to add the champagne she said she added months prior. They still brought out fruit salad after telling us they changed it (It was good, but we had changed it b/c we already had fruit and cheese trays before the reception and we didn't want to double up)
I was very happy with how my hair turned out. Even though I had a cathedral train on the beach the only problems I had would have happened with any train size (I got caught a nail and my dad had to help me on the way down the ramp. I had wanted to just go down the stairs but my mom was convinced I would trip) Walking on the sand was fine. During the ceremony I kept sinking a little bit and it helped to keep me from crying I think.
All these pics are from our pro flickr account (unless marked otherwise. I have the pro's I just haven't uploaded them yet, expect for a few), we bought it for the ceremony and passed out mini moo cards with the info and I am so happy we did. We are getting so many great photos. :D See ====>
Rehearsal Dinner: Vows
Pre Ceremony:
Those two guys back there would have been GM if we could fit two more BM in, but they ended up being super helpful being AV/sand ceremony holders. Poor Kris, his hands were way to full. ><;
