A large hurricane, on the scale of Katrina, could strike the Northeast, namely New York, this summer.

They really are playing up the NYC hurricane possibility this year. Interestingly, I believe that we will continue to see storms striking in the GOM and Atlantic side of Florida just like the past two years.

I'd like to say YAY, but um...that would be kinda mean.

for one,a cat 4 hurricane could not maintain that much strength that far north, EXCEPT if it stalled (like Feancis did on 2005). the last hurriace to reach NY was Grace. I dont know which year it was, but it was a mere cat 1, not even enough to knock down most trees.
