Beta Becomes A Hurricane
Beta was upgraded to a hurricane by the National Hurricane Center early Saturday as it continued to whip the Colombian island of Providencia with high winds and rain.
Beta is expected to hit mainland Nicaragua as a strong Category 2 hurricane by Sunday.
