Peccadillo noun, \ˌpe-kə-ˈdi-(ˌ)lō\
Means a slight offense; a petty deed or indiscretion
Comes from Spanish pecadillo, diminutive of pecado sin, from Latin peccatum, from neuter of peccatus, past participle of peccare (1600)
Example I'm often curious what my country would be like if we focused on actual political issues rather than quibbling over the peccadilloes of our politicians and the semantics of our policies. It might just make us all so competent and rational that the media and political workforce would be decimated. Also, I wouldn't have to slog through so many idiotic email forwards from my dad.
