1640-50; L pandiculāt to stretch oneself, deriv. of pandere to stretch

Usage:

As an experiment in group dynamics Jessica's pandiculation led to a mass yawning amongst all the members of her congregation. However, since that day's sermon was particularly tedious, she was uncertain of the accuracy of the results.
