OK. So one sleepless night later I decided to do the once in a lifetime Rune casting for myself.
If you like you can play along.
All results will be public.
Sorry.
We will be doing one a day, but you can play along at whatever pace you wish.
If you are unfamiliar with the runes, there is a good quick lesson here:
http://www.bewitchingways.com/runes/runes.htm Although often lumped into witchcraft, the runes are really a look into your subconscious.
Sometimes when I have a difficult issue I will pull a rune for a different look at the situation.
There is a difference between a question being posed and an issue. We are mainly looking at issues, once you get an issue boiled down to a question, then you have solved most of it already right.
Go flip a coin or something. (Same principle.)
I have a bag of stones and will pulling from the complete collection every time (the last rune get's put back in, so duplicate answer's may rise.)
If you wish to play along, pick a number between 1 and 10, I will draw blindly from the bag until I get to your number and then post your results in the comments.
There are 6 questions.
The first question is:
"What is my nature?"
I have drawn Lagaz and placed it into the positive.
The description is as follows (according to my book and not a website):
Flow
Water
That Which Conducts
Unseen powers are active here, powers that nourish, shape, and connect. The attributes of this Rune are water, fluidity, the ebb and flow of emotions, careers and relationships. Laguz encourages you to immerse yourself in the experience of living without having to evaluate or understand. It speaks to the satisfaction of emotional needs, to the awakening of the intuitive or linear side of your nature. For while the sun strives for differentiation, the moon draws us toward union and merging. This Rune often signals a time for cleansing: for revaluing, reorganizing, realigning. A Rune of deep knowing, it may call you to study spiritual matters in readiness for self-transformation. Success now lies in contacting your intuitive wisdom and attuning to your own rhythms. A Rune of the self relating rightly to the Self, Laguz signifies what alchemists called the conjunctio or sacred marriage. In fairy tales, it is the end to where the hero and heroine live happily ever after.
How fucking appropriate.
I went to a psychiatrist today for an initial evaluation. I have had this appointment on my calendar for 3 months.
After hearing all of the crap that I have gone through he said that I am Bipolar I (instead of the lesser cyclothymic that I had been evaluated at a few years ago.)
Situations change.
He prescribed a new medicine that he says will help me not be so... depressive.
As I was telling someone earlier, I am never suicidal, but every so often (last night) I bounce of off the edge of it.
