How Do We Keep The Music Playing???

I mean really……….how do we keep the music playing???  Now, this is actually the title to a beautiful song about the difficulty of keeping the love alive in a relationship.  The “music” being the metaphor for love in the song.

Well, this entry isn’t about that.  It is actually about “How do we keep the music playing” LITERALLY.

I started ( Read more... )

I agree on Paris Hilton.. but I guess you never paid attention to the reality show "Hogan Knows Best." Brooke DOES know music. She plays the piano ... very well I might add, and practices. Her father makes certain of that. That was pretty rude to go off on Brooke like that. She's not my type of music, but still she does have talent.

So sorry to offend.....but this journal is where I get to say my viewpoint.....for whatever purpose that serves. And, to be honest, it serves NONE. haha! You know, that "Freedom of Speech" stuff ( ... )

If your screwdriver-wielding skills were, for some odd reason, deemed to be a potential moneymaker by some corporate entity, then yes, you would “deserve” a contract, at least in their eyes. You might be viewed as a dilettante by other other experts in the field; whether you chose to ignore their opinions, and potentially embarrass yourself, would be up to you ( ... )

I wasn't going to write another post, feeling that we'd covered the topic sufficiently. But less than 24 hrs. after your response, my mom died, and we buried her yesterday. I remembered that you had written about your mom and grandma; I went back and read those, and it was helpful to me.

I just wanted to mention this as another example of why sharing your stories, even painful ones, has value. Thank you so much.

I have read your entry here for almost a month now and I still start crying.

You and I know that I have contacted you on a personal level. But, I wanted anyone else that may read this to know that your love for your mother and your strength in such a difficult time has been awe inspiring to me.

Thank you for being my friend via journal entries....and moreover.......thanks for being an amazing person in the world.

Much love and respect for you and your family........

Aww, you're too sweet. It doesn't get any better than that; now I can retire. ;-)

Really, I feel blessed. I always said you can never pay your mom back for the thousands of diaper changes, thousands of meals, years of care and concern, etc. etc. You can only (God willing) pass the love down to the next generation. Well, I had a chance to give something back towards the end and hear my mom say she was "very content," which is priceless. I'm sure you and many others would relish a similar opportunity.

Not that I don't have a few new gray hairs with Mom's name on them. ;-)

Best of luck with your new reality/happiness/life. So ... ? (The suspense is killing us. ;-))
