Stories behind the Pictures These were so much fun.
Stolen Heads picture: (Thank you, Judges, for letting me use the text one.) Originally, I did have a different version but it looked very plain. I also wanted, in some way, to commemorate the person who took quite a few of my pictures so I asked if she'd like to be a stolen head :D I had trouble with expressions, so I basically used a variety to differentiate between them. I did put on different make-up for each but I wish I had contact lenses because through this cycle I've discovered my eyes are too recognisable. The face in the frame at the top was supposed to one of the ones screaming, "Dorothy Gale!" from the film. V. scary that film...
Ozma pics: Despite being in a mirror a lot of the time, I could never ever get the right angle to make it natural and I really didn't want to photoshop because I'm terrible at it. So, I kind of imagined her reaction to the stone people of the Emerald City in the second one and the first was the signify the restoration of the princess, finally free.
Nurse Wilson: I found that whole bit with the institution deeply disturbing and the most memorable moment was just that sliding on of Dorothy's headphones.
Mombi: G'ah. Mombi. Nikki and I went down to our school lake and went around the entire length to try and find some suitable locations. Lol, much better than French work. I eventually chose this one (out of bazillions) because we put a story behind it. Mombi standing on the yellow brick road, poisoning it; you can see where gold and black meet underneath her. The locations in the other shots were beautiful but I kind of ruined a perfectly nice landscape as Mombi.
The Dorothys: We did these the day before and I was so pleased with what Nikki got out of it. All my friends got in on the painting bricks thing, so with a dozen or so of us behind the sofas painting bricks on newspaper, people would come in and ask what we were up to and we'd have to look at each other then say "The Yellow Brick Road." I bought a Victorian style shirt for these and the red shoes. Our school grounds are gorgeous and they really suited beaten-up Oz. What with the stone lions and so forth and overgrown back walls.
The one thing I think you could have done with Ozma that didn't involve the mirror would have been to take a picture with you inside and your camera outside.. Like we're looking into the mirror and seeing Ozma. I don't know if I explained it right? XD Anyway I think that would have been really cool to see, but your Ozma pictures make more sense now that I know what you were trying to say with them.

Phew! Sorry it's so longwinded, but there it is.
