I can't believe we've come to the end here, but it's been awesome. I've really enjoyed watching your progression each week throughout all of the awesome themes you've been given. I think each of you has what it takes to make it as a model in the real world. You're all amazing!
Ailsa - I was so impressed with you this week! I think your use of props, makeup, and lighting made your photo shoot very theatrical, which befit the theme nicely. I also like that you didn't go overboard with the Photoshop and that you used it sparingly to enhance an already amazing composition rather than base the photo around the effect you wanted. And, as always, you're a risk-taker and it certainly paid off. You weren't afraid to get down and dirty with the subject matter and to show off your zombie side (nice!). Somehow, you still managed to look glam even with lipstick smeared all over your face! I honestly can't pick my favorite picture(s) because I loved every single one of them! Well done!
Balqis - You are such an amazing storyteller! I love how, looking at the photos and the expressiveness of your body, I was able to follow exactly what was happening without any problem (and I suppose it helps that I'm a big fan of Dawn of the Dead to begin with!). You chose the perfect idyllic setting, a town so seemingly innocuous that nothing could go wrong there! Your transformation into the zombie, with that awesome makeup and the tattered clothing, really made the story complete. I really got a sense of the fear and caution your character was feeling. And I love how you were running around with the gun, taking matters into your own hands. You show those zombies who's boss! :) My only issue (and it's a small one) was the low resolution of some of the pictures. If they had been a big bigger and more clear, I wouldn't have had an issue with them at all! Great job!
Natt - Oh my! That first pic of you wandering the foreboding hall in full-on zombie stance is certainly haunting! I think that's my favorite of the collection because I know it's going to stick with me long after this competition is over. There's just something about the unnatural movement of your body that really brings to mind those old zombie movies. Well done! I think you could have benefited from not using text at all on the first picture just because it was such a great shot on its own. The other pictures were equally amazing. I love that the pictures convey the vastness of your surroundings and make you appear so tiny and minuscule amid the backdrop. I think pictures 4 and 5 best exemplify this. You really captured that sense of isolation and fear in your heroine, and I applaud you for that! I would have liked to see you play a little more with makeup, especially in the "zombie" pictures, but overall you did a great job!
