Honey, I'm home!

Connor's well settled into Kai's world by now, and looking forward to moving out someplace less civilized where he can stretch his legs, but thanks to the PINpoint he still makes regular visits back home. Kairos has been busy making cupcakes. It's not something she's done a lot of lately, and with Connor out the house she figures she can surprise him.

Besides, it's almost Easter, and she figures they should do something.
When he PINpoints in, he should be able to see her, back turned, dancing around to Prince's When Doves Cry and frosting the tiny little cakes pastel colors.

Connor stands there, bloody and breathless, listening to the Prince compare himself to his parents. He was too reclusive in the 80's to have seen 'Purple Rain' so it's not really familiar. Then he walks into the kitchen still carrying his katana, and the sparking PINpoint. He's going to need a new one of those. Quickenings aren't good for electronic devices.

She whirls around, smile plastered on her face, ready to welcome him home. "Hi, hon-" she chirps, but the rest is forgotten. She also kinda forgot she's got a cupcake in hand. "Connor? What happened?" Who does she have to kill? Someone hurt her man!

He's already done the killing, so that's one thing out of the way! The PINpoint sparks in his hand again and he glances down in mild surprised. He doesn't truly seem hurt, or even upset, just distracted. "It shouldn't do that..." He murmurs absently, and sets it aside on the counter. Only then does he realize he's still carrying an unsheathed katana, which is no way to greet your girlfriend. He sets that down carefully, too.

"...Hi." His voice goes abruptly hoarser with embarrassment. A fight had to happen sooner or later, but he probably should have collected himself better before coming home from it.
