I believe that some of the residents of the city have expressed an interest in the tarot. I am pleased to say that a particular book has decided to make it's presence known (by unceremoniously dropping itself on my head). And what do you know, it has it's own set of cards as well.
Quite a fascinating read. It does not use the classic Rider-Waite cards, but they are interpreted as the same thing. Only that this deck focuses on a particular, if not very familiar, mythos. If anyone wishes to read the book or use the deck, they are here in the library for your perusal. I'm sure there are some of the residents here who might benefit from this.
The deck is... very interesting, to say the least. Some familiar faces are featured in the deck. The Ladies Delirium and Death. The Lords Destiny, DreamMorpheus, and Lucifer as well, amongst others.
Interesting, too, who the deck assigns as the first card, The Fool;
I believe the trenchcoat looks familiar enough.
[ooc: Because I just had to. Large image under the cut (because I was too lazy to resize). 1990's Vertigo characters compromise the deck's major arcana. You can see scans of the cards
here. If you want the meaning attributed to each card... er, I'll try to give it when you ask for it? Lucien the occultist? pah!]
