Some nights are just too peaceful for comfort.

Misaki relished in the quietness of the night while wondering where her men went as she whirled sitting in the swivel chair. Living with all her boyfriends was no easy feat. They constantly bickered and those times ended up in countless brawls. There were days too when they would get along and it seemed to her a little heaven on earth being surrounded by the people she loved most. They were extremely busy people but they always seemed to agree to have someone left in the house with her.

“I guess they’re all out tonight.” Misaki peeked through their living room window. It was the ideal moment to be studying for her exams but she was tired from rehearsals for a school play and so decided to go to bed after she checked the time.

Locking the front door, she marched to her bedroom with a huge yawn she didn’t bother to hide. She dimmed the lights and fluffed her pillows.

Really, I wonder where those boys are. It’s not even a weekend and they’re all out!

It had been one blast of a night for the two men walking towards their block. They had celebrated the opening of their much-awaited project and, as the two leading contributors, were obliged to stay for the after party at a local bar. Neither planned to call home to let their girlfriend know there was nobody in the house when she would arrive from school. They certainly didn’t want to notify her that they were out drinking when they knew how she disliked the alcohol in their breath when they kissed her goodnight, not to mention how they would behave when they were intoxicated. It was something she wouldn’t put up with. Both were hopeful Misaki would be asleep by the time they arrived.

Jonghyun held onto Seulong’s shoulder as his vision spun and his legs couldn’t support his upper body. Seulong laughed at the man beside him and continued singing out loud.

Rowdy voices interrupted Misaki’s musing of marshmallow pie and she bolted out of bed ready to screech at her next door neighbour. When she opened the door to her room, a distinct clinging of something hitting a hard surface could be heard from main door.

They’re back! She suddenly livened up, fixed her hair and excitedly tiptoed to the living room. I’m sure they’re expecting me to be asleep. Haha! They’ll be surprised. Now let me see...should I pretend to be asleep on the couch? I could hide behind the door. Just then, Misaki remembered the watergun under the sink. She went to get it and positioned herself behind the hat stand near the entrance. She was about to laugh at her evil plans when the voices outside were whispering.

There were two men outside, that she was sure of, who did they belong to? She leaned her ear to the door to listen. A soft ‘click’ and all of a sudden she was pushed back by the door.

Sharp splashes of cold water hit Seulong and Jonghyuns’s faces when they walked through. An alarmed Misaki frantically sprayed at them with a watergun as she was sitting on the floor.

“Hey! What are you doing, Misa?” Seulong knelt to take the toy from her.

“You scared me!” She held on to Seulong and pulled herself up. “Where’d you guys go? You’re both late and... wet.” She looked at her work. The two were soaked from head to navel. She went to Jonghyun, who was still at the doorway, unmoving. Misaki took his shirt off then proceeded to rub his hair.

“Sorry for waking you up.” He mumbled.

“Seulong, you should do the same. You have to dry up or you might catch a cold.” She turned to see if he did follow.

“Nah, I think I want you to do that for me.” Seulong walked close and held his hands up. A shirtless Jonghyun fell on the loveseat and laughed at nothing.

“You’re such a kid.” Misaki tugged at the edges of Seulong’s shirt. “A really tall one,” She looked up and saw his silly grin. His hands met at her back trapping her against his chest.

“Seulong! You’re getting me all wet!” She pulled away from him. He managed to corner her and put his arm in the way to block her escape. He moved his face toward hers when Jonghyun coughed, then...

“I’m sorry.” Jonghyun said. “I couldn’t hold it in any longer.” He covered his mouth as he talked and ran to the bathroom.

At that moment, Misaki noticed the lingering scent of alcohol around Seulong and realized that the two were drunk. Oh.

“Then, it was you I heard. Y’know, you were pretty loud for the neighbours to hear.” She stared at Seulong and calmly stepped out his way.

He chuckled sitting on the couch. “You really heard me? Didn’t I sound great? Now, where were we...oh yeah. Help?” He waved his hands in the air. “Look, Misaki! I’ve shrunk! Haha!”

“Stay still. And don’t get any ideas,” Misaki was halfway undressing him when Seulong hauled then pinned her to the couch.

“YAH! I said...” She squealed and broke free breathing rapidly.

Seulong fell on the couch laughing and saw Misaki run up the stairs to her room. “Come back, Misa!” He called.

“Help yourself!” She retorted huffing. “And clean up after Jonghyun’s mess!”

“Aww, come on! You got me drenched in the first place!” Seulong continued to call out. He looked at the gunk on the floor and almost puked at the sight of identifiable food particles. Urgh, that’s just wrong! “I’m gonna get sick and it will be your fault!” He added.

Misaki tried to ignore his whining but soon felt responsible so she slowly descended the stairs and saw that Seulong hadn’t budged. A goofy smile spread on his pinkish cheeks when he saw her.

“Don’t move an inch.” She commanded finally completing her task and wiped his back and hair as dry as was possible.

“Can I shower in your room?” Seulong let her continue rubbing his hair.

“I don’t think so. You have one in your room.” She gently reminded him.

“But I left everything in the car. My wallet, keys...” He muttered, recalling also his surprise for her. It would have to wait till morning.

“Where’s your car?” She stopped and looked at him concernedly.

“I left it back at the studio. You said not to drive and drink.”

“Dude, it’s ‘drink and drive’.” Jonghyun walked into the living room, clad only with a towel.

“Thank you, Jonghyun.” She saw him out of the corner of her eye. “Now Seulong can use the common bathroom.”

“I’m not done yet.” Jonghyun smirked. “Just checking to see if Seulong was behaving around you, drunk self and all.”

“I’m not drunk!” Seulong bellowed.

Misaki sighed. “I can take care of him, don’t worry.” She said to Jonghyun’s retreating back. He only chuckled in response.

“Okay, you can come up to my room.”

She turned all the lights up before letting him in. She grabbed a towel and pushed him inside the bathroom.

“Hurry up, okay. I’m tired and sleepy.” And freezing. She closed her bathroom door and quickly strip off her wet sleepwear.

Without warning, the bathroom door opened. “Misa, can I sing in the shower-“
