So... I've been thinking about this for a while now:

Who would win? Shaw or Wally West? Shaw vs. Superman?

... IDK, I'M CURIOUS WHAT PEOPLE THINK.

While I want to go with the crowd and say Kevin Bacon I'm going to actually answer. Shaw is extremely hard to kill. In a fight to the death...I'm gonna have to say Shaw wins over Wally and Clark. I can't think of anyway to stop him that doesn't require either a telepath or someone/something that can absorb energy like he can. I would be curious to see if Cloak could beat him. Or if he has a threshold (which I don't think he does) someone/something that could produce more energy then he can handle. And I don't think that's Wally or Clark. As much as I love them Shaw wins. And speed isnt really in their favor cause Shaw seems to always be on guard. Especially with his minions for help. What do you think?

If you could lower the temperature significantly (I'm talking close to absolute zero) then surely this would kill him. Because come on, if someone absorbs energy, then why not starve them of energy to absorb? Also, I thought maybe if he could be teleported into outer space, this might do the job? It's not like he's magically able to survive without oxygen, and the lack of gravity would make it hard for him to fight.

...I've given this way too much thought, haven't I?

So essentially if Superman could somehow surprise him and go so fucking fast he isnt able to use his explodey powers on him and then take him into space...boom dead.

Maybe Bobby or another ice controller could freeze him to death.

What about air....could he me trapped with no air. I feel like he'd be able to break out of containments to easily and any energy containment could be a bad bad idea.

I haven't given this enough thought....it demands hours more thought....days more thought.

I brought this up to my father and he immediately said Batman could beat him...but that's his answer to everything with no further explanation...now I'm mentally doing gymnastics to think of a logical way Batman could defeat him. Next time dad says Batman I'm shouting Dr. Who to fuck with him.

Well, the containment issue was why I thought of space, rather than an air-tight room. Although possibly someone who could control wind/air would be able to suck the air out of his lungs?

Haha I actually thought of batman! Simply because he is my go-to superhero for cool gadgets, and I think with enough cool gadgets (like for freezing or suffocation) you could pull this off.

I'm trying to think of another strategy that would be possible - I mean, I suppose Charles could also have shut down his brain functions (I think I saw a prompt like that on the meme), so maybe there are non-telepathic mutants who could do a similar thing? Shut down his vital organs or something?

Or possibly he could be tricked into expending more energy than he has in reserve? IDK.
