...This sounds uncanny like what I'm doing already for the second fill of that Wanted/XMFC x-over prompt from Round 1. Except that I'm having XMFC take place around the same time as Wanted (or close to it) with some obvious tweaking for modernizing XMFC...

I haven't posted my fill yet already since lol, I've been spending the last two days revising what I have so far instead of continuing it, but the prompt I mentioned was this one!

Also, the whole "Wesley" moving into mansion part isn't something I'm planning on doing. Kind of. I'm still in the plotting stages.

cool! I hope you post it soon, I'm dying to read more Charles!Wesley. I just find it hilarious thinking about the kids' reactions to proper, british gentleman Charles Xavier being Wesley, assasin who curses a storm and knows some killer moves with a gun :D

Yes, I plan to post it! I just want to get a bit ahead of myself before doing so. Reading your prompt again, I think it gave me a little bit of more inspiration I needed but I don't think my fic would be right for your prompt. ;; It's way more tailored for the other prompt. ^^;

That said. adlkfja;adj I WANT TO SEE THIS FILLED BY SOMEONE.

He was looking at the faces of two people: one man, and a younger woman. Wesley shifted in his seat, left his feet planted to the floor and glanced about, weighing his options. There was a single door behind them. Heavy, polished oak, and firmly shut. There was no window at his back; nothing that he could possibly hurl his body through in order to escape. And, even then, they were on the third floor of an estate that must of spanned miles, nestled an otherwise unassuming village of England. That was, of course, not to say that Wesley was ever put off by heights.

Wesley bared his teeth and angled his head, returning his focus to the pair before him. The girl - Raven, he was told - had her hands pressed to the lower half of her face. Behind her fingers and the fall of her bangs, Wesley could see the way her forehead crumpled, and how her eyes were glossy and bright. His gaze shifted to the other man - Erik - when he addressed him.

LOL, negl, this prompt is the most amazing thing IN THE WORLD. I'm having a blast with and have already written an embarrassing amount. I've just had to pause where I did to clean up a connecting scene♥

Wesley could feel it; the frustration that bled from where Erik was standing. It spread along the floor, sunk into the spaces between the wooden boards. It crept up Wesley’s legs like vines, tendrils of anger and resentment, some directed towards him, others not. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling. He shook his leg.

This paragraph is AMAZING, just wanted to tell you this, before I continue on reading.

Wesley didn’t need to see her face to know the hurt that was on her features; it rippled through him, amplifying the thudding between his eyes. No one spoke as Wesley stood up. Not her, not the scientist, not the man - Erik - who stood at the mouth of the hallway, his features set in a way that hid his confusion, his anger, and the slow burn of resentment that was always present, there, in his head.

And no one stopped him when he walked away.

The pounding settled by the evening. Wesley was in his allocated room (allocated, because it certainly wasn’t his, no matter how hard they tried to convince him otherwise), perched on a chair by a tall window. The English countryside sprawled beyond the glass. Not that Wesley could see it. Rather, he stared at his reflection-the product of a dark night and the single light that shone in the room. There was a crease between his brows, and one at the corner of his mouth. He rubbed at it in an attempt to soothe it away ( ... )

He had made it to the grand entrance of the estate before he was challenged. It was that man again - Erik. God, when had he started being so fixated with names. Erik stood, half in shadow, arms folded as he leaned back against the wall. Wesley regarded him, reading his posture ( ... )

It was a little like a group counseling session. There was the scientist at the head of the circle, clipboard in hand and a pained expression on his face. There was a redhead lounging on a chair to his immediate left, and a cocky looking blond to the right. Wesley stared at him, studying the way the blond leaned forward, elbows pressed to his knees. Raven was beside the blond, and to Wesley’s own left was Erik who looked as involved as the blond did.

“This might be a little difficult for you to absorb,” the scientist was saying. Hank, his mind told him. Hank McCoy, brilliant man who was able to design-

“Can’t you just tell him?” Raven asked, leaning forward in her seat as she spoke.

“What,” the redhead said, looking baffled. “You were in the middle of stopping a nuclear war before you were kidnapped and, by the way, you’re telepathic?”

Wesley stared.

“Sean,” Hank said, the name barely discernable beneath the blond’s laughter.
