Oh my gosh, I don't care if someone else wants to write this too, but I am TOTALLY hitting this up later. I can't resist the mental image of Erik being a good father.

Adrenaline picks up amongst the confusion in his veins as he picks up his feet, which he feels much lighter on than he had been in a while. He darts down the hall faster than he can realize, and quickly, he’s turning the corner into Hank’s room. He pushes the door open and dashes in, stopping once he sees a small boy with brown hair crawling about on the floor, on his hands and knees, searching for something he can’t see. He doesn’t seem to notice, though, that there’s a table before him, as he hits his head on the leg before Charles can reach him in time. The boy grunts softly after and Charles scoops up his glasses which seemed to have been knocked to the floor, his eyes on the other the entire time. The boy can’t possible be more than fifteen!
He takes the risk anyway, edging closer to the boy; “Hank?”
Immediately, the boy whips around and his eyes find his figure, but he’s sure he’s only a blur instead of a shape, and the boy whispers, “Dad?”
A pang of something hits Charles square in his heart and he squats down to the boy -

The sun is just peeking over the trees on the horizon when he finally sits down; it's hours before breakfast and Charles has himself pushed back in his chair by the chess, nearly exhausted, and with good reason too: Alex probably settled down from full-on panic just an hour before, about three hours after Erik ran in with a fire extinguisher and put out the last of the fire. Of course, regardless of the man's firefighting efforts, most of the room was charred black already; the curtains were ashen shambles probably still falling to the floor, the doors to the walk-in closet were cut just as cleanly as the dresser, laying awkwardly off the hinges, and the bed, well... Alex would just be getting a new room altogether. As well as a new wardrobe, seeing as half of it was set on fire, and what remained at least partially clean was now to big for him, seeing as he was now Hank's current age, if not a year older

"You're not that hard to read," Erik gives back, a rather firm statement of such, and lifts his piece to knock out one of Charles' pieces with a flick of his wrist, the other man not even seeming relatively bothered that he was being bested

All of the children turn small(er) again. Doesn't matter if it's toddlers or 8-year olds. Only Raven knows Charles ofc, so cue stressed kids.
Bonus: Erik turns out to be the better parent
Bonus Bonus: some of the boys are in their phallic-fase
Pllllllease?
