The loom twitched back to life for good minute, coughing out another inch of woven threads, before it died once again. With a sigh Wesley smacked it on the side with frustration before giving up. He wouldn’t be able to get more orders for another week if the pattern kept up. It was odd. The loom was a shitty loom but it was a shitty loom that he could always depend on to breakdown on every third day not every third hour, or every hour now as was the case after which he wouldn’t be able to get it to work for a week no matter what he tried.

Perhaps it was time to get a new one?

But no, oddly enough it only happened once in awhile starting three months back. The loom would act up before he’d get a series of odd targets. A man with six fingers on his left hand and another with skin tattooed an odd magenta color. Maybe it only acted up for special cases, freak shows with some unhealthy fetish for plastic surgeries and tattoos. Only it wasn’t usually this bad. At least he knew the target this time would be interesting.

So it was with more than just a little anticipation that peered over the magnifying class hovering over the woven cloth and transcribed the numbers
