Repost: Charles/Erik Long Prompt is Long; possible dub-con, non-con anonymous June 13 2011, 14:55:41 UTC
I hope reposting is okay...?

Several years after the beach scene, Erik actually manages to do what Shaw failed to: he creates an almost entirely mutant world and wipes out most of humanity. Sometime during Erik's conquest, Charles got captured by Erik's 'team' of mutants (idk who, anon, be creative!). Erik kept Charles locked away in a safe house until the conquest was over.

Now that he's established himself as the ruler(ish) of this new world-order, Erik brings Charles to his new home/palace and informs him very politely that he, Charles Xavier, is to be his new consort. Charles is less than pleased.

Can have dub-con/non-com in it if anon should so wish/feels is necessary.

Bonus: Erik, at this point, is a little bit... well, 'off-balanced.' He turns a lot of his borderline-insanity into obsessive, possessive, and over-controlling behavior towards Charles.

Bonus2:Mpreg

Okay, so it’s my intention that this will not be as long as the other thing, and I will probably just shoot myself if it is, but I’m trying for not. That said it will take some time to complete. It’s not 100% loyal to the prompt, but I am a huge sucker for dystopian settings, so, yeah. Here ya go; here’s my shot at it. I hope you like it regardless, OP. :o

i.
Nuclear war might almost have been better, Charles thought at times. It was absurd; it was unrealistic and it was pessimistic. Still, sometimes he thought it.

He watched the world turn through a television set, through newspapers and gossip. The sky above turned faintly green with smoke wafting away from another part of the globe, and that winter it had snowed extraordinarily; Charles didn’t eat fresh food for two weeks.

It had never snowed that much in the mountains outside of Chiliwack, not in anyone’s lifetime.

ii.“I’d like to see Erik,” Charles asked that morning. He always asked that, every morning, when Lila came to bring him the paper and breakfast. The food was ( ... )

v.“Erik,” Charles breathed. His old friend was still recognizable; he still looked the same, although he was dressed differently now-in a flowing cape and a helmet that looked even more ridiculous than the last one, all red and magenta-but there was something grown tired in his face, in the lines of his eyes and around the creases of his nose. Charles had, for a moment, an urge to help Erik; to make him smile again, genuinely, as he had once ( ... )

v. con’t“I can fix that, Charles,” he insisted urgently. “I thought of that. For the past several years, ever since I-since you had your accident, I’ve been recruiting scientists. You’ve seen their work ( ... )

As the subject line says! And feel free to deviate from the prompt-- I don't need 100% loyal when you're doing such a good job on the writing, plot, and characterizations of the story.

Charles and Erik are perfect in this. I love how Charles is still so morally right when he deals with Erik, regardless of the major difference power (by positions, not actual abilities). It's so Charles to hint to Erik that his civilization is just as bad as the Nazi WWII. As for Erik, I love that he's so set on getting Charles to appreciate what he's done. He knows Charles doesn't agree with him, I think, but he's still trying to argue that his world is and will be better than the old one, and he's doing so under (what I see as) an assumption that it belongs to Charles as well. Also, I'd like to add that I loved that Erik has everyone wearing helmets. That seems like a practical precaution around Charles ( ... )

Thank you!! Doubly, for the really detailed response! <3 Yeah, all I could think about the whole time Erik was being all "the humans need to die so that we don't get wiped out" was that it was a bit hypocritical (not to mention a fallacy, since they are all still the same species). I think also that, in this, Erik is starting to realize that and is in some way trying to convince himself of how much better his world will be, as well as Charles.

Oooh, dystopias are the best! Don't worry about not knowing it though, I do sort of study this thing. XD

(I guess the Firefly quote applies to Magneto: "If a man walks down the street in that helmet, you know he's not afraid of anything!")
