"And you, you can - what was it again? - you can move metal with your mind. That's brilliant!" The man ("Doctor, I'm the Doctor") wiggled his fingers excitedly, then dug in his jacket for a glowing, buzzing instrument that he scanned Erik briskly with before stowing it again. Out of habit and possibly suspicion, Erik scanned the long instrument right back; mostly unidentifiable, but enough metal that he would be able to wrench it out of the Doctor's grasp if necessary. "Isn't he brilliant?" the Doctor demanded. "Humans! The infinite possibilities!"

Erik caught Charles and the girl exchanging a look. "Did you know," Charles began, and Erik squeezed his wrist. With his mind. Through his watch.

"Do not tell her how groovy her hair is," he warned, and the tall man in the back let out a noise that could have been a laugh or a snarl.

"Groovy," the man repeated, and Erik caught a glimpse of metal; metal helmets and a hand made of guns - gun made of hands? - but the glimpse was merely that, and he forgot it almost as soon as it flashed by. "We really are in the sixties, aren't we?"

I may or may not have an AU in mind, which basically involves planting the TARDIS in the middle of the events of First Class, and having ridiculous shenanigans - shenanigans! lovely word - with the X-Men-That-Are-Yet-To-Be. Er. What do you guys think? :D?
