There is Charles, holding open a Russian language book and poring over vocabulary, making himself waffles. It's four o'clock in the morning and he obviously hasn't slept yet and there is a half-eaten pickle in his hand. Their flight to Russia in in five hours. There are so many problems here Erik isn't sure where to begin. He clears his throat as he watches Charles spread a chunk of brie over the fresh waffle. (Seriously, what the hell?)
Charles is startled (which Erik also thinks is ridiculous, but he lets it go because the telepath has clearly been awake for so long) and flushes a bit when he realizes he's been caught. "Ah. Eric. I was just…."
Erik cracks a smirk when he hears this. There's a reason for this? This should be good. "Please, Professor, explain."
"I was just… making waffles."
"At four in the morning."
"It's never too early for breakfast."
Erik holds back a laugh; clearly Charles wanted to go ahead and be stubborn about this one. "You haven't slept. You wore that sweater yesterday. Sean asked if you stole it from his grandfather's grave."
"I like this sweater." Charles says defensively, and puts his pickle down to take a bite of his waffle.
"Don't be a child, you're going to make yourself sick before the flight." Erik a got the glass of water so he wouldn't have to watch with disgust.
"Do you want to try some?" Charles slides the plate over.
Erik looks him over. "If I do, will you come back to sleep?"
"I'll try."
"Brush your teeth first," he said, glancing at the pickles as he tried the waffle.

Erik is so amused and Charles' food combination so terrible. Just "there is a half-eaten pickle in his hand," cracked me up so hard. And the end ♥

I'm particularly interested to see if you go with the exercises like mad the next day, because, did you know that would actually be considered bulimia?
Any cycle of out of control eating followed by making up for it is, even if the person doesn't vomit.
