“Charles, you’re legally required to declare your orientation on your thirtieth birthday if you don’t have a partner,” Raven chided as if he didn’t already know that, didn’t think about it everyday. Charles sighed and stole a sip from her cola, ignoring the way Raven was staring at him, annoyance turning into worry and a bit of fear. “That’s six months from now, and if you don’t have a dom they’ll assign you one, Charles.”
“Not if I ask them to put a D on my papers,” Charles muttered coolly, watching as Raven gasped, hands coming up to her mouth. Charles looked away, needing a moment to gather his thoughts before he faced his sister, not surprised to find anger slipping into her features as she did. It wasn’t directed at him, but it still made Charles defensive, body tensing. “Look Raven, I’ve thought a lot about this-“
“Clearly not enough,” Raven interrupted, eyes flashing dangerously as she stood up and slammed her palms against the table. Charles avoided the urge to flinch, head still aching from the remnants of Cerebro. Charles followed her lead and stood up, wrapping his arms across his chest tightly, eyes hard as he stared back at her. “Do you really think you can live a lie, Charles? What’s going to happen if they assign you a sub?”
“You’re allowed to say no,” Charles replied, but the heat was already dying from his voice, and he couldn’t help but shift under Raven’s glare. He felt bared again and he had to look away, ignoring the wave of triumph that poured off Raven. “Look, you know how Kurt treated my mother and I, Raven. I’m not going to allow that to happen again.”
“Erik isn’t Kurt, Charles,” Raven whispered, eyes softening as she cupped his face in her hands and turned his face back toward her. Charles tried to look down, but Raven’s eyes bored into him and he had to meet her gaze. “You can’t keep living in the past.”
“If he can, why shouldn’t I?” Charles asked evasively and Raven sighed, slowly pulling her hands away. Charles shot her a quiet smile and walked out of the room, not feeling any more sorted now than when he first went to meet her. Raven was usually able to calm any… urges that had, but not now. He still wanted to go find Erik and kneel in front of him and take whatever Erik gave out.
It was enough for Charles to cancel his chess match with Erik, sending the other man a quick telepathic message before he severed their connection completely. shivered and slipped into his office, quickly locking the door behind him. It was only the early afternoon, but he had work to keep him busy until the early hours of the morning. He needed the time and distraction to keep get himself together before Erik, to keep himself from falling to his knees, from letting Erik slide inside his mind and body and take him completely, collar on his neck and Erik’s voice ringing through his mind so that everyone knew that he belonged to him-
Charles pushed away the rush of need that thought gave him, blocking his mind off even more tightly. Charles Xavier was better than his basest urges. He’d been weak to them once, but never again.

I'm still loving this. You've got a whole world set up here, and it's so interesting! I love that subs will be assigned a dom if they don't already have one and that the government controls a lot of aspects between the subs and doms. Small background facts like that make this so much fun to read! :D

I too am loving this! As the other anon said, the world this is set in is intriguing and I love what you've done with Charles, especially with how Raven is helping him and guh, I can't wait for more of this. Sub!Charles is delicious and the hesitation both him and Erik feel is only making the whole situation more so.
