The Human Abstract (Damn you Edgar...)
1. The gravel of the drive way crunched beneath their boot-clad feet, a smooth accompaniment of the wind as it rustled the trees and the birds tweeting as they flew about, but they didn’t really care about the sounds. They cared about the familiarity of it all. It was a far better, more natural, sound compared to the chaotic hustle-and-bustle of Paris and Berlin. Charles looked over at his sister and smiled reassuringly, he didn’t need to read her mind to see just how tense she was. Charles could remember when she’d been against his telepathy for a very long time until certain events had arisen and in order to give her safety and security she’d asked him to read her mind and the like. They were tired, it had been a long journey and an even longer walk from the train station because they’d refused to be chauffeured around now they were back home. Home... The Westchester Mansion they’d grown up in wasn’t home per say, they’d never really felt any real attachment to the place beyond it being the place where they’d first met, but for all intents-and-purposes it would be their home for the foreseeable future. At least, Charles thought it would have been. The first words out of his mothers mouth were cold and harsh as the three of them stood in the study that had once belonged to his father. Charles tried to keep his calm, he really really did, and he tried to remain collected and polite but his mother was tearing Raven apart - again - and this time Charles just couldn’t stand by and listen to it anymore. “You’re a disruptive, no-good little slut. You’re ruining his future with your presence and I should never have allowed you into my home-” “It’s not your home you absolute wench!” Charles shouted and he was angry, so very angry and annoyed, but he was also ashamed of his outburst because this was his mother and he shouldn’t be so disrespectful of her. He’s meant to love her unconditionally and honour her, even though she despises Raven and himself and only sees how worthwhile they are to her social image. And he’s just called her a wench for it all. Silence fell in the room and it was so thick that Charles was sure he could see layers of it permeating the air - otherwise it was the steam rising from his mother’s figure as her ire rose sharply. “How dare you!” Mother shrieked and Raven stared in surprised at Charles because she’d never known her brother to even think unkind thoughts about his mother - or at least, none that he’s ever let her hear. “Quite easily.” Charles replied as he stared back at his mother’s disbelieving and shocked face. He shouldn’t be adding fuel to the fire but he figured that he’d already incensed her. And afterall, his father always did say ‘in for a penny, in for a pound’. “This is not your home, this is father’s home. And soon enough it will be mine and Raven’s also. You have no right to decide who should and shouldn’t be accepted within these walls and it was father’s wish for Raven to live here with me and it is also my wish.” Ms Xavier stared at her son for a long moment, her face showing the shock as she thought over the scandal of this discussion in their social circles, and Raven stepped towards Charles to show a united front against the wench. Raven knew that she’d never have to say it aloud, the joys of her brother being a telepath and all, but she felt a swell of pride and happiness at the fact that Charles had included her about the house. It was further proof of what she already knew; Charles was her brother in all but blood - which also made the small crush she harboured for him a lot less ground-shattering than it would have been otherwise. “She is not a part of this family.” Ms Xavier hissed contemptuously, anger and jealously colouring her words as well as her thoughts. “She is nothing more than a pet your fool of a father allowed you to keep!”
Re: FILL: The Human Abstract (1b/?)kaseykcnewJuly 13 2011, 14:00:59 UTC
“Raven is my sister.” Charles said forcefully and Raven felt the raw emotion, the anger, the hurt and protective love rising in her brother. There was such power in her brother Raven knew, but she’d never known him to speak with only his emotions colouring his words against someone who insulted her - though she supposed that the only reason she heard it now was because Charles’ telepathy had never worked on his mother, for reasons neither of them truly understood. “Father loved her as a daughter and if you weren’t so jaded you would realise that Raven was never a threat to you and father’s relationship. But you’re too self-centred and paranoid to think like that aren’t you?” Wow... Raven didn’t realise until now just how much her presence had threatened Ms Xavier. IT had always seemed like Ms Xavier tolerated her presence when her husband had been alive, but to hear it now from Charles that his mother had thought Raven was competing for father’s affections was both explanation enough and distinctly disturbing. Charles’ mother paled, her face turning icy white, before her eyes flashed dangerously and, almost as though it were happening in slow motion, Raven watched as her hand shot out and Ms Xavier slapped her son hard enough to make him stagger back a little. Raven gripped her brother’s arm tightly, keeping him balanced, as she glared hatefully at Ms Xavier who looked equally shocked and triumphant of her actions. It sickened Raven to think that the woman was proud of slapping her own son. “You are no longer welcome in this home.” Ms Xavier said coldly, power and anger burning in her eyes, as she stared down at her son. “You can’t make us leave.” Raven argued as she moved so she was standing in front of the, now silent, Charles. “This isn’t your home anyway.” “Raven.” Charles said quietly, catching his sister’s attention as he continued to speak telepathically to her. ‘Until I’m 21 she still retains the right to evict us and block our monthly payments; which she will most certainly do.’ “Yes I can.” Ms Xavier said smartly, smugly, and Raven really wanted to take her face off but Charles was tugging on her arm. “Get out of my home.” They left in silence, collecting some clothes and personal belongings before Charles waited for his mother to leave the study, going off for her morning sherry as usual, and he took a couple thousand dollars from the small safe his father had shown him when he’d been younger. The last thought that Charles heard from his mother as he and Raven walked back along the gravel driveway was fleeting and cruel. And it would be a thought that he would carry with him for a long time. ‘Worthless little ingrate.’

This is off to a wonderful start! I love the closeness between Charles and Raven. This fill looks like it's going to be excellent. Can't wait for more!
btw, though, you might want to put spaces between paragraphs in future posts since right now it's a bit wall-o-texty and hard to read. If you're writing in Word, just adjust the formatting so that it's single spaced and then add an extra space between paragraphs. It really makes a huge difference for reader enjoyment.

(Learning from my mistakes with the previous part :p)
2.
All too soon the money ran out and they had to turn to other means of supporting themselves. Raven managed to get a job at the local restaurant, which wasn’t too bad considering the pay, but they rotated her timetable like crazy so it was chaos at the best of times.
Charles pawned off some of his most expensive belongings; the pocket watch his step-uncle had given him when he’d turned sixteen, an antique gold chain which his cousin had thrown at him when he’d turned twelve and a gold ring that was worth every carrot in it but had no emotional value to Charles himself.
Raven had tried to get him to pawn her jewellery too but he’d flat out refused because he wasn’t going to take anything away from her ever again. It was stupid logic in Raven’s opinion, but it was logic nonetheless so Raven went along with it for her brother’s sake.
As for Charles’ studies they weren’t his top priority, they couldn’t be because Raven depended on him to look after her. He gave them as much time as he could afford, which still wasn’t enough in his personal opinion, and he was certain he’d get an excellent mark - God he hoped so. After his thesis is completed and his degree handed to him, he’d be able to get a real job to support them both.
His current job was... outside of his comfort-zone to say the very least.
It was purely accidental that he’d ended up in his current line of work, accidental but at the time a bloody God-send. If it hadn’t been for his late night walk in the park nearly a month ago, Charles doubted if he and Raven would still have a roof over their heads.
“Charles.” Raven called as she gripped her neck scarf in her delicate, normal, hands. “I’m going to work now, please be careful.” She stared at her brother, her concern and worry strong and tangible.
Charles nodded absently, not want to look up and see the worry etched on his sister’s face. She didn’t understand, heck Charles didn’t understand it himself, but right now it was the best, most profitable, job out there for him.
And isn’t that such a cheery realisation?
“Say hello to the others for me.” Charles says as he thumbs through the thick volume on his lap, not really seeing the pages but finding the action calming and grounding.
“Urgh. Fine.” Raven roller her eyes as she opened the door and stepped out on to the landing their flat was on. “I’m sure Alex and Hank will love to hear from you.” She snarked as she closed the door, missing the way Charles tensed slightly at her words.
In the silence of their small flat Charles took a deep, calming breath before focusing his mind on following Raven on her way to work; it was short, ten minute walk down the street but Charles didn’t trust people around them and so he always paid attention to her journeys. Finding a couple of ASBO teens waiting in an alley further ahead of Raven, Charles sent them on their way, pointedly making them drop their weapons in the dirt as he did so. Raven would probably murder him if she ever found out he was doing this but honestly, Charles didn’t care because her safety came first and everyone else second.
There was a time when he hadn’t thought like that. There had been a time, not so long ago, when Charles had been appalled at the idea of manipulating other people’s minds purely on a whim, but times had changed. He’d changed, and a part of him thought that it wasn’t for the better. The only reason they were living in the small, tiny, and dingy flat was because Charles’ morals hadn’t been warped and destroyed entirely. Yet.
Re: FILL: The Human Abstract (2b/?)kaseykcnewJuly 14 2011, 14:28:58 UTC
Sighing in relief as Raven entered the restaurant to start her late-night shift, Charles closed the book in his lap and placed it on the small table-top next to him. He stretched his body as he stood, finding the burning of his back and thigh muscles to be comfortably bearable. It had felt worse earlier in the day and he found that he could ignore the burning as he made his way over to the cramped bathroom in the flat.
Quickly stripping down, Charles stood under the shower head, ignoring the fact that the water was closer to freezing than it was to warm, and careful scrubbed away. All the while, his mind was thinking over where he was going to go tonight. There was always the park, but he’d been there too many times this week; someone might recognise him - though that wasn’t really a problem for him though. There was the industrial estate but that was where the whores and prostitutes hung out, waiting desperately for someone to pull up so they could get paid and buy their crack and heroin. So... the industrial estate was out as well then.
Running the cloth along his arm, Charles pondered the light bruising around his wrists as he absently thought of somewhere else. The grip had been too tight, but still not tight enough to ever be a real threat to him, and Charles sighed as he turned the shower off and stepped out, wrapping a towel around his slim hips as he did so.
Quickly drying himself off, Charles moved over to the sink where he studied his face in the small mirror he’d tacked to the wall. He had the beginnings of bags under his eyes making him look like he was starting to come down with a cold, but what he was concerned with most of all was the loose bruising around his throat. Bruising that looked suspiciously like a hand-print.
Shaking his head in frustration, Charles focused on dressing himself in his work clothes, ignoring the way his legs protested at the balancing act as he pulled the jeans up. His work clothes were a direct contrast to his usual attire and Charles always felt uncomfortable in them, at least he did until he was outside and all discomfort faded away to be replaced by a staggering arrogance and warring cheek.
He pulled the long sleeved shirt over his head and looked at himself in the mirror, knowing without a shadow of a doubt, that someone wouldn’t be able to resist him like this. No-one ever could really. Looking to his left Charles stared at the bundle of clothes on the floor, his turtle-neck jumper and loose slacks that he always wore in the flat. He liked looking that, those clothes were comfortable and familiar but they wouldn’t get the job done so he had to change. Stooping down to grab the bundle Charles carelessly threw it into the wash-basket, fully aware that it was Raven’s turn to do the washing but also fully aware that he’d do it himself when he got back.
Running a hand through his still damp hair Charles took a breath and stepped out of the bathroom, back into the flat and couldn’t help the feeling that he didn’t fit in it anymore creeping up his spine. It was a silly feeling, obviously he belonged here, this was his home, but he didn’t really belong. Fifteen minutes ago he belonged but now, dressed as he was, he was better suited to being outside in the dark.
Grabbing his key for the door and slipping it into his white sneakers, the best place to keep something important in his opinion, Charles silently slipped out of the flat and made his way out into the night. He had to make some money tonight because they were running low on electricity and the heating bill was already overdue, and Raven’s money wouldn’t be in until the end of the month and so Charles really needed to get some cash tonight.

I love how big brother Charles is for Raven. It really shows his shift in priorities and of course his transformation into Rent Boy!Charles was quite nice as well. (The bruises were a nice touch.) All in all, this is lovely. Can't wait for more!
Thank you so much for the formatting change, it really makes a huge difference!
Re: FILL: The Human Abstract (2c/?)kaseykcnewJuly 15 2011, 14:20:01 UTC
It wasn’t as cold as Charles had thought it’d be, but the wind is still sharp enough to cause him to wrap his arms around his torso in an attempt to retain some warmth in his body. Sometimes he really did hate wearing this get-up - especially in the winter and he was amazed he hadn’t developed pneumonia in November. Sighing Charles cast out a telepathic net, searching for someone, anyone, to get caught in it just so he could go home.
Pausing for a long moment, his eyes losing their focus as he stared off into the distance, Charles smiled slightly, ‘There’s one.’ His eyes sparkled in relief and anticipation as he quickly set off at a brisk pace near to the bench he knew was on the crest of the hill in the park. As per usual, he’d gone for the park because it was familiar and he was never too far from home - but he was still far away enough to ensure none of Raven’s friends saw him.
As he ascended the hill, his sneakers slipping slightly on the grass, Charles got the distinct feeling of being watched. Looking up he caught sight of a man sitting on the bench, complete with a trench-coat, and relaxed because there was his watcher. Smiling a little in anticipation, Charles quickly reached the bench and perched on the edge of bench arm, his feet resting on the seat as he wrapped his arms around him. He smiled and rubbed his arms for a moment.
“You waiting for something?” He asked, knowing that the man expected him to talk a little. It was one of the things that was sadly predictable with those who frequented the park on these late nights.
“No.” The man smiled and Charles smiled, a soft chuckle slipping out of his mouth as he gleaned the basics off the man’s mind. Thirty-two, divorced and sporting for someone he could charm a little, mislead a bit then take everything they had to offer from them. He was a dangerous one for sure, but Charles needed the money and the profit always outweighed the cost.
“You sure?” He asked, raising his eyebrows and smiling knowingly at the man, Edgar, as he watched for the reaction he was waiting for.
“Yes. I’m quite sure.” Edgar replied, softly spoken and looking innocently unassuming, but his gaze flickered over Charles’ lithe form, taking in the smooth contours and the tight-fitting clothes. ‘Got you.’ Charles thought as he the man’s gaze smouldered; the reaction he was waiting for.
“Yeah alright.” Charles said as he slipped off the bench and began to move away only for the man to reach out and lightly grab his wrist. ‘Hook.’ Charles thought as he turned to look at the man.
“Uh. Excuse me.” Edgar said tentatively but Charles could see in his mind that he was anything but, he was playing a role just as surely as Charles was. Moreso perhaps.
“What?” Charles asked slowly as he stared down at the man who fidgeted and he could hear his thoughts, could tell that the man was pacing himself, restraining himself from taking what he wanted. He was playing a game and Charles briefly wondered why before disregarding it and focusing on the task in hand.
“Well, it’s just I don’t know exactly what to say-” The man managed to stutter out and Charles felt like laughing at his acting because it really was quite good; he played the bumbling, unassuming and innocently naive about as well as Charles played the confident, cheeky and arrogantly assured boy.
“You’re not the only one who comes up here on his own you know?” Charles mentioned as he moved back to reclaim his perch on the bench, leaning in a little closer than he had done previously, and fixed the man with a smooth smile.
“No. I suppose not.” The man smiled and let out a little laugh that would have set anyone’s nerves on edge, the malicious thoughts only served to make Charles squirm a little.
“Look. It’s okay. You know what you want right?” Charles continued. ‘Line.’ He thought as the man looked up at him, all innocence with his face but that mind, oh that mind was alight with dark thoughts and fantasises, and Charles felt himself warming up a little at them all.
“It’s thirty for a blow-job.” Charles said bluntly as he looked directly at the man’s face, and he smiled as he felt more than heard the man’s intake of breath. “A hundred quid and you’ll get the-” He smiled cheekily. “Full service.” ’And sinker.’
Re: FILL: The Human Abstract (2d/?)kaseykcnewJuly 15 2011, 15:56:28 UTC
(I can't believe I'm writing this... *fans self* yikes)
“What’s your name?” Edgar asked after a long moment and Charles was just able to stop himself from blinking in surprise; this was a bit different to what he was used to. They didn’t normally care for a name. Just cared about how good he was, how good his servicing was.
Hesitating for a brief moment Charles took it in stride and replied. “Charlie.” Not too far from the truth but not an absolute fact. Charlie had been the nick-name Cain had so enjoyed using when he’d been younger and he had hated it then as well. At least his first name would remain unsullied by his actions tonight.
“Come on.” He said, back to his usual self-assured self. He smiled at the man who smiled back at him, a lot less shyly than he had done a few minutes ago, and stood up. Now that Edgar was standing Charles realised that the man was a good few inches taller than him, closer to six foot than five, and if he’d been any less than who and what he was, Charles suspected that he’d have been mildly unnerved at the height difference.
As it was, it only served to amuse Charles, because Edgar obviously thought he’d be able to over-power Charles and do whatever he wished without having to pay for it. If Charles were more of a moral and kind person, he might feel angry at the assumption but as it was, it made him want to laugh instead because if there was ever a threat to anyone it would be him. Charles Xavier. Telepath and freak extraordinaire.
Edgar followed him down the hill in silence and Charles could feel his eyes on his back, and a quick peek through Edgar’s eyes revealed that he did look rather ravishing from behind. It took a couple of minutes but they reached the edge of the park, close to the river and Charles looked at Edgar. “Would you prefer your car or the small shed further this way?” Charles pointed in front of them and he knew, there was no point in asking other than common-courtesy, that Edgar would want the shed.
“The shed please.” Edgar said politely but Charles could feel the impatience, the annoyance, the frustration and the warring lust rolling around in the older man. He suppressed a smile, choosing instead to smile, and set off silently towards the shed.
It only took them a couple of minutes to reach it, but it seemed that those few minutes took all of Edgar’s patience, because as Charles turned to the older man; after having opened the shed door and held it open, Edgar shoved Charles hard in the chest and sent him crashing into the inner-wall of the shed.
Colliding with the wall with an audible ‘thump’ Charles stared at Edgar, mock-fear in his eyes, as he watched the older man step inside and close the door behind him. It was good thing that the roof to the side was all but gone otherwise Charles wouldn’t have had a hope in hell of seeing dear old Edgar. Leaning against the wall, his chest heaving, Charles listened and watched the faint outline of the other man coming towards him.
Edgar reached out and wrapped a large, meaty hand around the base of Charles’ throat. Instinctively Charles threw a thought at the man. ‘Do not choke.’ And the grip on his throat remained politely loose and was of absolutely no threat to him whatsoever.
Re: FILL: The Human Abstract (2e/?)kaseykcnewJuly 15 2011, 15:58:11 UTC
The older man leaned in close to his face and Charles stared at the darkened face with a strange feeling of calm washing over him; a feeling that wasn’t uncommon to him anymore as he’d experienced many times over the nights. Edgar pressed his body against Charles’ own and Charles could feel just how aroused the man was having Charles at his mercy - though it was really the other-way around there was no need to destroy the man’s illusion. ‘Fucking perfect... I’ll make him scream.’ Edgar’s mind whispered to Charles and he gasped as a wave of lust shot down his spine faster than a bolt of lightning. It wasn’t his lust but didn’t care because he needed the money and so this had to be convincing for the older man.
“Guess you want the full service then.” Charles dared to say, letting his words flutter nervously as Edgar stared at him with a dark gaze. ‘Though if you keep thinking you’ll take whatever I give without paying, that might change soon.’ Charles thought as he saw the cogs in Edgar’s head turning.
Edgar didn’t reply, not verbally at least, but moved his hand away from Charles’ throat to grip his shoulder. A leg came out and kicked Charles in the shin, causing him to lose his balance, and Edgar used the opening to push him down to his knees. ‘Blow-job first. Different, but not unusual.’ Charles looked up at Edgar, listening to the sound of the man rapidly fumbling with his belt buckle.
He managed to undo the belt and his fly, leaving Charles to the rest and with steady hands Charles reached up and freed the man’s cock from its material restraint.
“Suck me off.” Edgar intoned, his words low and harsh, ragged, and Charles obeyed without hesitation. Licking a long stripe down the man’s average-sized cock Charles found himself amused by the sharp gasp from the older man. “Stop playing games you faggot and suck me off.” Edgar growled and he grabbed the back of Charles’ head, his hands twisting in the brown locks, and he dragged Charles’ face forward until he had no choice but to take Edgar’s cock in his mouth.
It wasn’t by any means pretty, or comfortable, but Charles didn’t stop the man, didn’t push him away with a thought. Instead he deep-throated him and chuckled as Edgar gripped his hair painfully tight and let out a quiet. “Fuck yes.”
Hollowing out his cheeks, he ran his tongue underneath Edgar’s cock, let his teeth graze the sensitive flesh, and he slipped a hand inside Edgar’s trousers, using it to fondle the man’s balls in the process. He did ask for the full service afterall. Suddenly, without warning, Edgar’s hips snapped forward and Charles choked on the cock in his mouth, tried to move back so he could breath, but Edgar gripped his hair and stopped him.
Forcing himself to calm down and breath through his nose, Charles sent a quick thought, disguised as a subconscious choice on Edgar’s part to let go of his hair. Edgar’s hand fell away from his hair and Charles took the moment to move back until his lips were just on the tip of his cock. Using his tongue, he teases the slit of Edgar’s cock, twisting the tip of his tongue just right and Edgar let out a growl of want.
Grabbing Charles by the shoulders the other man pulled him away from his cock and shoved him back against the wall. Before Charles could re-organise himself, Edgar was roughly turning him around and pushing up against his exposed back. In the crevice of his arse Charles could fell Edgar’s cock, hard and weeping, pushing and straining.
‘Calm your mind.’ Charles thought to himself as he felt and heard Edgar’s hands tugging at his tight jeans, one of those large meaty hands sliding around his waist to undo his zipper and belt buckle. He could feel the other man’s hot breath on his neck, could feel all the wanton desire inside him, the desire to fuck him till he screamed, the desire to make him beg for mercy, the anger and the aggression mixing and morphing itself into lust and passion. Cold air hit the back of his thighs and Charles realised the man had managed to get his jeans undone and down to his knees. He wasn’t worried. He was in control even if Edgar didn’t know it.
Re: FILL: The Human Abstract (2f/?)kaseykcnewJuly 15 2011, 16:27:13 UTC
‘Prepare me.’ Charles thought at Edgar, pushing the thought subtly into the man’s mind, moulding it and melding it to the other thoughts the man was having. ‘Lubrication to your left.’ After his first foray into being a rent-boy, Charles had quickly learnt that he needed something to make the... penetration and a little less painful, which was why he’d stashed a tube of lube beneath the plant pot in the shed. The tube of lube that Edgar now gripped in his hand and was spreading over his fingers.
Without any preamble the man roughly shoved a finger into Charles’ arse making him tense up. It didn’t deter the older man and Charles forced himself to relax and breath. The finger dug into the tight ring of muscle, pushed it and twisted around quickly and efficiently. Biting off a cry, Charles clenched his hands into fists and pushed his forehead against the wall of the shed, his eyes clenched shut. A second finger joined the first, scissoring him and he jerked forward. Edgar gripped his hair with his free hand and pulled his head back until his neck was bared.
A part of him wanted to make the older man add a third finger, especially when he considered that he’d be rushing around crazily tomorrow, but he was impatient and wanted this to be over as quickly as possible so he decided to simply make the man wear a condom; it seemed that Edgar was quite eager to fuck someone tonight because he had a packet at the ready. He listened to the sound of the foil tearing and Edgar released his grip on his head long enough to roll the condom over his cock and position himself against Charles’ entrance.
And then he was gripping Charles’ hair again, tugging his head back painfully, and in one move he buried himself to the hilt inside of Charles. Screwing his eyes shut against the pain, Charles’ nails bit into his palm hard enough to break the skin and he was breathing heavily as Edgar began to move inside him. Pulling out almost completely before ramming back in hard enough to shove Charles’ hip against the wall harshly.
It was fast and reckless and painful but it was worth the money so Charles gritted his teeth and went along with it, all the way up to the man’s climax; shuddering and almost breaking Charles’ neck from the contortion he was being put through.
Edgar released his grip on Charles’ hair, allowing the younger man to rest his forehead against the cool wood-work and he released a breath he hadn’t known he’d been holding. He winced as Edgar pulled out of him and he heard the sounds of the man bagging the condom, ready for him to dispose of later on. Charles would have preferred to curl up and die but he had to get his money so he pulled his jeans back up painfully slow and did up the zipper, not bothering with the belt.
He turned around in time to see Edgar tucking himself back into his trousers and starting to move towards the door. Charles frowned in annoyance. Cheeky... rude and violent. ‘Greedy little man.’ He thought as he stepped away from the wall and caught Edgar’s attention.
“Stop.” Charles said quietly, his voice soft but it was the mental order that was more important now. Edgar froze in the middle of the shed, his mind going quiet and his eyes glazing over. “Hand me your wallet.” Charles ordered casually and he took the worn leather out of the other man’s outstretched hand without any hesitation.
Leafing through the contents, bypassing the photos of whoever taken wherever, Charles pulled out a couple of bills. Finding that a hundred-and-fifty would cover the who transaction quite nicely; the extra fifty for Edgar’s plans on leaving without paying up like a gentleman.
Re: FILL: The Human Abstract (2g/?)kaseykcnewJuly 15 2011, 16:28:22 UTC
“Nice doing business with you.” Charles said, his words full of fake-cheer. “Don’t ever come around here again.” He added, his voice darker and more menacing. Staring into Edgar’s dazed gaze for a long moment, Charles shook his head and moved towards the door and opened it.
Turning to look back at the man, Charles added. “You won’t remember the details of this, they’ll be fuzzy but what you will clearly recall is that you had a good fuck and were intensely satisfied with it. Now go home.” He held the door open and watched as Edgar walked out, his movements stiff and irregular, but that would fade soon enough.
Leaning against the door frame Charles watched until Edgar’s form disappeared into the darkness and ran a hand through his hair. He grimaced and wondered if he’d get back to the flat before Raven would. It didn’t really matter whether he didn’t but he’d prefer it if he did; so he could maintain the charade of being the older brother working legally and never doing anything risky or dangerous just so they could eat regularly.
Shaking off his melancholy, Charles tried to focus on the fact that he had a hundred-and-fifty quid that would hold them over, if they were careful, till the end of the month - only a week away. Setting off into the darkness, Charles focused his mind on nothing in particular, finding himself too tired to really focus.
And that was why he missed the presence of a man standing a few dozen feet or so away from him. Watching him in the dark.

You’re ruining his future with your presence and I should never have allowed you into my home-”
“It’s not your home you absolute wench!” Charles shouted and he was angry, so very angry and annoyed, but he was also ashamed of his outburst because this was his mother and he shouldn’t be so disrespectful of her.
You have no right to decide who should and shouldn’t be accepted within these walls and it was father’s wish for Raven to live here with me and it is also my wish.”
Ms Xavier stared at her son for a long moment, her face showing the shock as she thought over the scandal of this discussion in their social circles, and Raven stepped towards Charles to show a united front against the wench.
Reply
“Father loved her as a daughter and if you weren’t so jaded you would realise that Raven was never a threat to you and father’s relationship. But you’re too self-centred and paranoid to think like that aren’t you?”
Wow...
“This isn’t your home anyway.”
“Raven.” Charles said quietly, catching his sister’s attention as he continued to speak telepathically to her. ‘Until I’m 21 she still retains the right to evict us and block our monthly payments; which she will most certainly do.’
“Yes I can.” Ms Xavier said smartly, smugly, and Raven really wanted to take her face off but Charles was tugging on her arm. “Get out of my home.”
They left in silence, collecting some clothes and personal belongings before Charles waited for his mother to leave the study, going off for her morning sherry as usual, and he took a couple thousand dollars from the small safe his father had shown him when he’d been younger.
The last thought that Charles heard from his mother as he and Raven walked back along the gravel driveway was fleeting and cruel. And it would be a thought that he would carry with him for a long time. ‘Worthless little ingrate.’

btw, though, you might want to put spaces between paragraphs in future posts since right now it's a bit wall-o-texty and hard to read. If you're writing in Word, just adjust the formatting so that it's single spaced and then add an extra space between paragraphs. It really makes a huge difference for reader enjoyment.

Yet.

(Wow... this was a long part two :p)
