2.
Azazel dropped her off in Westchester, a few miles away from Xavier’s mansion. Magneto wouldn’t be pleased to hear that she’d gleaned the location from his unguarded mind several months earlier-he couldn’t wear that ridiculous helmet all the time, after all, not if he wanted to wash his hair-but with any luck he would never know that she’d been there. If he found out…well, that was the reason she was here.
After Shaw, who had been terrible in bed and enjoyed killing people in a wide variety of interesting ways, Emma had discovered that she liked having alternatives.
Emma met absolutely no resistance on her way towards the gates, and as she approached the main doors unmolested, she began to feel slightly uncertain. Xavier and his mutants couldn’t possibly be so unaware as to leave their base of operations completely unguarded, could they? And if they knew she was here and weren’t doing anything about it-
She didn’t know what that meant, but it certainly wasn’t anything good. Reminding herself of Xavier’s obviously pacifist nature, she steeled herself and knocked on the doors after only a moment’s hesitation. The door was yanked open immediately.
A scowling boy with red hair-Sean, according to Erik’s memories-stood barefoot on the other side of the threshold. “The professor’s waiting for you. If you hurt him, I’ll blow out your eardrums and then give you to Alex for target practice,” he said by way of greeting.
Charming. With a sniff, Emma brushed past him and reached out with her telepathy to locate Xavier.
“I’ll show myself in,” she said when he tried to follow her. “Or does your professor require a keeper these days?”
She felt, rather than saw, him stick out his tongue behind her back.

Given Xavier’s evident telepathic powers, Emma didn’t waste her time lying to him. It took her only a few minutes to lay the situation out to him, and once she was done, she sat back and reminded herself that she had absolutely no reason to be terrified of the man sitting opposite her.
“Oh, my dear Ms. Frost,” he said, face earnest as he leaned forward in his wheelchair, “I assure you that I would never leave you at the mercy of the government, and I don’t believe that Erik would, either. He was the one that freed you from your imprisonment in the first place. I can’t imagine him so easily abandoning someone he’d taken under his wing.”
“I’m hardly a charity case, Xavier,” she snapped, stung by the implication that Magneto had taken her with him out of pity. He needed her.
