Possible weekend drawing project....

There's a 3 day weekend coming up, and I think I may have come up with a cute idea.

Charcoal portraits are fun; it's been a while since my last one, but I think I've found a worthy subject that should be a challenge.  (And you know, that picture really sucks from that angle.  Any other angle and the flash reflection off the glass wipes out the image.  From this angle, though, it's all warped.  Need to take it outside in natural light and get a good shot.)

So upcoming portrait:  House, MD.  Trickiest part will be the eyes....I got lucky with the charcoal combo on Vincent last time, I may have to do some messing around with just eyes and ID the correct charcoal combo first.

Original photo:  I lack enough talent to pull this off from memory, so the photo reference is the classic promo shot.  (ID'd here as Image 38)

The cute idea:  if my laptop is arranged at the correct angle I ought to be able to get a webcam up and running and work on the piece 'live', as it were.  It's actually a pretty cool process to watch, going from blank paper to finished product....there's a lot of changes and phases.  Somewhere around here I still have photos of the (still unfinished) Babylon 5 piece as it progressed from layout through nearly finished.
