... for every time you've heard a train approaching late at night after waiting on the platform for an hour, only to have it start honking because it's not in service
... for stalactites of unidentifiable grodiness that drip hazardously on you when you walk under them
... for announcements that say "Due to a signal problem/customer requiring medical attention, all Brooklyn bound R trains are running limited service"
... for not cleaning the cars often enough when the weather is gross out, aka NOW, resulting in piles of wet muck on the train floor
... (because I don't want to leave the busses out) for there never being a bus around when I want one, and for sometimes when I leave Zach's, the bus that I see far away and get excited and wait for, and then it turns out to be the fucking Q101 (with nonstop express service to Riker's Island)
... for all those great ads for beer, bankruptcy lawyers, and strange 2-year colleges
and, my favorite:
... for occassionally making my MetroCard say "Please Swipe Again," "Please Swipe Again" "Please Swipe Again" and then for no fuckin reason, "Just Used", and there's a train in the station that I could have caught, captain.
