Hi Everyone,
My name is Katie Rinehart and I just finished my first year of teaching here in California. This year, I taught a Special Day Class of Kindergartners and 1st graders on the Autism Spectrum. This fall, I am switching teaching assignments and will be teaching a 3rd/4th grade Special Day Class of students with Mild/Moderate Disabilities. This is going to be a huge change for me. I am very excited about the move as this is more the direction I have always seen my educational career going. However, I am going to have to start all over on my lesson planning. I am looking for any resources you teachers may have that I can use as I start planning for the next school year this summer? Any great websites that would be a resource for me that would be appropriate for 3rd and 4th graders with disabilities. Any and all help from you wonderful educators would be greatly appreciated. Hope everyone has a wonderful summer. For those of you first year teachers that are just finishing up their first year of teaching, congratulations on surviving.
