august 26-saw cat power live, tiny venue (malibu community arts center). chan marshall by herself. no back up band. she was ridiculously amazing. played OLD songs. including in this hole and moonshiner. she was funny. and awkward. and wonderful. my hero.

sept 2 MOCA nights at the museum of contemporary art with ariel from oceanside. fun. the rauchenburg (too tired to check spelling) exhibit was INTENSE. i love the messages and thought that go into his work. social commentary from the mid 50s and 60s that is original and creative, never trite or preachy. so interesting to pick apart and analyze. the eva hesse drawing exhibit is also really good. her talent is so vast and range of work varies so greatly--check her out if you ever get the chance.
sept 8- cocorosie at the avalon. surreal. their voices are indescribable in person. perfection. absolutely incredible. sierra just opens her mouth and the oprah flows out flawlessly. biancas voice is just like the cd too, better even. they play their instruments effortlessly. the sound effects are live, with the very toys they used on the initial paris apartment recordings. magic. pure magic.

and in the she visited me at my work. chatted with my regulars. drank coffee. i love my job.
i work 5 days a week. school 4 days a week. school newspaper-very stressful. very tired all the time.
havent been out since.. um i cant recall. oh well. need to focus now anyhow.
my stories get printed at least. but i hate the "news" especially LAME college news.
my head is all sorts of twisted up. sleepy as hell. had really weird dreams last night. i want some tea.
