Gabe is sprawled out on the living room sofa when William gets home. He looks half-asleep at first, but William moves closer and Gabe cracks one eye open, reaches up to snag William by the waist and pull him down to snuggle.
"Hi," William says, and can't keep the stupid indulgent smile off his face.
"Hi," Gabe says back, sleepily, and kisses the tip of William's nose. "Everyone's gone, 'm lonely."
"Victoria too?" Alex and Ryland were meeting with Mikey Way, William knew that already, and Nate might be anywhere, but Victoria hadn't scheduled anything.
"The illustrious Mr. Lambert called earlier," Gabe says, grinning. "Keltie hurt her foot, they need another dancer for tonight."
Gabe and Adam actually get along frighteningly well, considering their obvious differences and the way Adam keeps kidnapping Gabe's consigliere. According to Alex, their first meeting had consisted of Adam flirting outrageously, Gabe flirting drunkenly, and karaoke duets at three in the morning.
"Don't you…" William flounders for the words. Gabe's playing with his hair, it's a little distracting. "Don't you worry? What if, you know, what if she doesn't come back."
Gabe smiles, his eyes starting to close again. "Vicky-T's a Cobra," he says, "she'll always come back."
...also, like, I graduated or something? Yeah. Bye, high school, it's been real. \o
