So far, her day has been absolutely terrible. Woke up late, burnt the toast, dropped the milk pitcher, and got yelled at by her mother for leaving her room a mess. She'd arrived at school to find her homework unfinished. At least Mahana and Michiru were there to commisserate with. Of course, the moment they started talking, the teacher walked in.
She stared disinterestedly out of the window as the attendance was called, as the morning announcements came over the PA. Then a single sentence made her sit up and take notice.
"Everyone, let's welcome our new classmate!"
She stared.
"Hello! My name's Inoue Orihime! I hope we can all be good friends!"
As she gazed at the transfer student, Chizuru swore she could hear the bells.
