Title: Ribbons
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Totsuka, Goseki, Hashimoto
Author's Notes: THIS IS THE ONE WHERE A.B.C.-Z ARE GIRLS AND THEY WORK AT A MAID CAFE. I am not sorry. :|b
Shoko bows, making her voice light and cute as the bell on the door jangles. "Okaerinasai, goshujin-sa...ma..."
Her cheeriness trails off, replaced by horror. "Riiko-chan?"
Hashimoto Riiko grins, oblivious. "Tottsu works here too?"
Shoko smiles weakly and reaches out to snag a passing Goseki Konomi by her apron. "What is she doing here," she hisses.
"You say that like it's my fault," Konomi sniffs. "She was looking for a job. I talked to Manager-san."
"Then it is your fault!" Shoko breathes deeply, attempting to stay calm. "Anyway, she's too young!"
Konomi smiles brightly and gives Shoko a comforting pat on the shoulder. "Don't tell Manager-san that."
Title: Part Of Your World
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Aiba, Jun
"What are you?"
The figure in the water looks affronted. "I'm a mermaid." The "of course, moron, what did you think I was" goes unspoken.
"Oh." Aiba peers at him thoughtfully.
"I was singing," the self-proclaimed mermaid goes on, tossing his (slightly ridiculous) hair, "so I could lure you down into a watery grave."
"Why?"
The mermaid's "how stupid are you" face is quite impressive. "Because that's what mermaids do."
"Huh," Aiba says. "You know, that's funny, because I thought that noise was a bunch of... of baby humpback whales or something."
The mermaid flips his pretty purple tail and smacks Aiba in the face with it.
Title: The Scarlet Job
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Arashi (OT5)
Author's Notes: Based on Leverage, which recently ate my brain, and owing a little inspiration to Saigo no Yakusoku. Sho is Nate, Aiba's Parker, Nino's Hardison, Jun is Eliot and Ohno is Sophie. I am only a little bit sorry for this.
Sho's an honest man.
That's the first thing Jun said about him. The team has called him other names since that first job: "bossman" (Nino), "fearless leader" (Aiba), "drunk" (Satoshi). He's all of these things - that last one not so much anymore, because Satoshi says it makes the children sad when their father comes into work hungover and then Aiba and Nino chime in and Jun calls them all idiots.
He knows he's something else, too. He's a man on a mission.
And so Sho lies, cheats, steals, misleads, extorts, deceives, and jaywalks, all for revenge.
Because Sho is an honest man.
Title: The Verdigris Job
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Arashi (OT5)
Aiba likes to watch.
And what he likes watching best, more than perfect heists, even more than explosions, is his team.
He watches Sho and Satoshi dance circles around each other until they finally get a room, and then he listens if they forget to take out their earpieces, because damn that's hot.
He watches Nino baiting Jun until the younger man snaps and someone gets fucked over the table in the conference room, and then he has to go pretend to find them by accident so he can join in.
Aiba thinks they're an explosion after all, the prettiest one he's ever seen.
Title: The Sunshine Job
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Arashi (OT5)
In Nino's book, you want something done right, you do it yourself.
Over their secure channel, he hears Satoshi and Sho in the target's office, pitching their scam with all the charm of a pair of hosts. He picks up Aiba making his way to the floor where the company keeps their medical records (actual paper files! Nino cannot believe some people). Jun's playing the IT guy again (damned if that isn't unfair as hell), sweet-talking the receptionist so she doesn't notice Nino opening a backdoor into her harddrive.
He never expected "the teamwork thing", but he's certainly getting used to it.
Title: The Violet Job
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Arashi (OT5)
Jun has layers.
He's the one that can keep a veritable army of security guards busy while Aiba and Nino are cracking codes and picking locks. He's the one who can hold his own in a three-on-one knife fight. He's the one with the anatomical knowledge to paralyze a man in ten seconds.
He's also the one that does his nails during briefings and spent about a quarter of the take from their first job on hats.
"My, princess, what big rings you have," Nino drawls, draping himself over the back of Jun's chair.
"The better to break your face with," Jun says smoothly.
Title: The Cerulean Job
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Arashi (OT5)
Satoshi thinks Sho's enjoying playing the black king. White may get the first move, but not the last laugh.
Aiba's their black knight, crooked and quirky and barely contained. Nino's the black bishop, always a little unexpected, striking when you think you're safe, and Jun's the black rook, capable of stealth but preferring to just punch someone out.
Aiba demanded to know which piece Satoshi was, but then Sho's voice over the earpiece had given them their cue, so Satoshi hadn't answered.
Now, as he flirts with the CEO of yet another corrupt pharmaceuticals company, Satoshi thinks of the black queen, and smiles.
