This is for
madcap_shiny and
digi_dragon. ILU MOTORBABIES THANKS FOR INDULGING MY PANTSLESS WHIMS. ♥ I will upload Repo! soundtracks and also possibly Mindless Self Indulgence at a later date.
3OH!3 - Streets of GoldThis album is secretly good. Ssssh. Don't tell anyone. Favorite tracks: "My First Kiss", "Deja Vu", "We Are Young", "House Party" and "Double Vision".
The Academy Is… - Fast Times at Barrington HighThe only full album by TAI... that I consider worth listening to. Favorite tracks: "Beware! Cougar!", "After The Last Midtown Show" and "His Girl Friday".
Avenged Sevenfold - Avenged SevenfoldGonna confess right now, I only have "A Little Piece of Heaven". But if the rest of the album is as fucking epic as that song, it can't be anything but A+.
The Cab - Whisper WarSo, so awesome. Singer's voice is fantastic and his lyrics are filthy poetry. Favorite tracks: "Bounce", "I'll Run", "High Hopes In Velvet Ropes" and "Can You Keep A Secret?".
Cobra Starship - While The City Sleeps, We Rule The StreetsAlbum number one! Fucking classic. The cover still kills me. Favorite tracks: "The Church Of Hot Addiction", "It's Warmer In The Basement", "The Ballad Of Big Poppa And Diamond Girl", "Pop Punk Is Sooooo '05", and of course
"Bring It (Snakes On A Plane)", linked separately because I don't want to rezip shit.
Cobra Starship - ¡Viva La Cobra!¡Numero dos! Hands down, the best shit ever. Elisa's out, Victoria's in, and it's produced and more or less co-written with Patrick Stump. You can't get better than that. Favorite Tracks: "The City Is At War", "Guilty Pleasure", "Damn You Look Good and I'm Drunk (Scandalous)", "Smile for the Paparazzi", and "Prostitution Is the World's Oldest Profession (And I, Dear Madame, Am a Professional)".
Cobra Starship - Hot MessNot all that special. Gabe, go back to your pop-punk roots, child. Favorite tracks Only tracks worth listening to: "Nice Guys Finish Last", "Good Girls Go Bad" (if only for Leighton) and "Hot Mess". Also the Suave Suarez on Pleasure Ryland remix of "Good Girls Go Bad", because seriously. Seriously.
Fall Out Boy - From Under The Cork Treelalalalaaaa no one likes this album but me. Uh. Cork Tree-era Andy was the hottest thing ever? Favorite tracks: "Dance, Dance", "Sugar, We're Goin' Down", and "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More "Touch Me"".
Fall Out Boy - Infinity On HighConversely, even Ginny likes this album. I am not inclined to disagree. Favorite tracks: ""The Take Over, The Breaks Over"" (yes the title is in quotes my band likes irrelevant punctuation), "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race", "Hum Hallelujah", "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs", and "Bang The Doldrums".
Fall Out Boy - Folie À DeuxOut with a bang, boys. Out with a fucking bang. This album is incredible. Listen extra close for special cameos! Favorite tracks: THE WHOLE FUCKING THING.
The Hush Sound - Like VinesRemind me to give you the ad campaign Pete Wentz whipped out (ahahahaha) for this album. It's special. Favorite tracks: "We Intertwined" and "Sweet Tangerine".
The Hush Sound - Goodbye BluesAbsolutely amazing. Greta Salpeter, your voice. Favorite tracks: ALL OF THEM except "That's Okay" and only because I cannot listen to it without breaking emotionally.
Panic! At the Disco - A Fever You Can't Sweat OutOh, Ryan Rossy. Just. I have no other words. Favorite tracks: "Camisado", "Time To Dance", "Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off", "But It's Better If You Do", "There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought Of It Yet".
Panic! At the Disco - Pretty. Odd.Going to confess right now: I don't actually like this album much. But you might. It's very divisive like that. Favorite tracks: "Nine In the Afternoon", "That Green Gentlemen (Things Have Changed)".
My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers For Sweet RevengeAWWW, YEAH. HERE WE GO. These are my boys forever. Favorite tracks: "Helena", "Give 'Em Hell, Kid", "You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison", "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)", "The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill" and "Thank You For The Venom".
My Chemical Romance - The Black ParadeThis album has no right to be as amazing and pretentious and brilliant as it is. My boys. ♥ ♥ ♥ Favorite tracks: Everything except "Cancer" and "Disenchanted". No, really. Which one is my favorite just depends on what day of the week it is.
The Young Veins - Take A Vacation! This is what happened after Ryanrossy packed up his Jwalk and left Panic. Personally? I love it. Favorite tracks: "Change", "Take A Vacation!", "Cape Town" and "Heart of Mine".
BONUS TRACKS:
The Academy Is… - "The Phrase That Pays" (from Almost Here)I love the music video for this a whole lot.
The Academy Is… - "Checkmarks" (from Almost Here)William's a sluuuuut. :D
The Academy Is... - "We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands" (from Santi)Probably the only song on this album I actually like.
Cobra Starship - "Placer Culpable (Guilty Pleasure)" (from ¡Viva La Cobra!)UNF UNF GABANTI SPEAKING SPANISH. DO ME HARD.
Cobra Starship - "I Kissed A Boy (Original Version)" (from the CitizensFOB Mixtape - Welcome To The New Administration)There is not a lot I love more than Gabe and his overwhelming desire to kiss dudes in the name of equality and social justice. Remind me to track down one of the interviews where he says that Kurt Cobain kissing guys on TV was an inspiration to him.
The Young Veins - "When You Walk In The Room" (from Take A Vacation!)Great cover of a great classic song. I'm not sure when the Rossotone started being enjoyable to listen to, but it definitely is here.
