Meme I stole from snowqueenofhoth:

1) If you'd like to play along, reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2) You then list (and upload, if you feel like it) 5 (or 6 or 7) songs that start with that letter (feel free to explain why you chose the songs).
3) Then, as I'm doing here, you'll post the list to your journal with the instructions.

Uploads to come later. \o\

All of Me For You/Fight All Night ~ Kanjani8 vs. KAT-TUN
I have this pesky little thing I like to call MCAS, or Minor Character Appreciation Syndrome. The more I see of a main character, the more likely I am to ignore them in favor of the characters I don't get to see as much of. This goes for boybands too. So a mashup (which I am also very weak to) of two songs (that I really like) minus the lead singers (who, let's face it, can be SUPER-WHINY and sometimes I hate them a teeny bit, ilu Kame and Subaru but really)? I AM SO THERE.

Always (2009 Mix) ~ Erasure
Ahahahahaha I make no apologies. Harmony, harmony, oh love, etc.

American Girl ~ Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
You guys, I fucking love classic rock. I have a big fat crush on Tom Petty's voice. I have no idea what this song is about, but if it is actually about suicide, I may laugh my face off. TL;DR IT IS A REALLY GOOD SONG THAT I LOVE A LOT AND KNEW ALL THE (SLIGHTLY MONDEGREENED) WORDS TO AT THE AGE OF, LIKE, SIX.

At The Opera Tonight ~ from Repo! The Genetic Opera
I think this was one of the first songs we got to hear? The rest of the fandom circle that was spazzing with me since that summer, can you confirm or deny. Anyway. I remember tinhatting like a beast regarding this stupid, wonderful, heart-consuming movie. We put that thing on such a fucking pedestal and then it did not disappoint even a little (except NEEDS MORE GR AUGH) and you guys, I love Repo with all of my heart.

Angry Inch ~ from Hedwig and the Angry Inch
YOU GUYS. YOU GUYS I LOVE THIS MOVIE YOU GUYS. AND I LOVE THIS SONG. AND I LOVE HEDWIG. EVERYTHING ABOUT HER, OH MY GOSH, SO AMAZING. /flail

A Little Less "Sixteen Candles", A Little More "Touch Me" ~ Fall Out Boy
HAHAHA YOU DON'T KNOW HOW GLEEFUL I AM THAT I GET TO SNEAK THIS ON. POSSIBLY MY FAVORITE FALL OUT BOY SONG EVER, TRUE FACT NO LIES. Everything about this song makes me irrationally happy - Pete's stupid teenage lyrics, the nonsensical title that STILL doesn't make sense even when he EXPLAINS IT, the fact that he describes it as "like, a make-out song", Patrick's angel voice, the fucking VIDEO. Oh, my god, that video is the love of my life, it never stops being amazing. "YOU CALL YOURSELVES HUNTERS?" "WELL NEXT TIME YOU BE THE BAIT!"

Accidentally Like a Martyr ~ Warren Zevon
I grew up listening to a lot of very specific kinds of rock because of my stupid ridiculous sometimes-awesome-but-fucked-if-I'll-admit-it dad. One of my dreams as a little kid was to hear Zevon in concert some day. Then he went and, y'know, died when I was twelve, so. Fuck that plan. Dad and I are still planning to go to someone's concert together eventually. When's Springsteen touring again? One day I'll upload all my favorite Zevon and Gin Blossoms and Smithereens and all that shit for you guys.

American Idiot - Green Day
Okay, hahaha, shut the fuck up. Junior high was a massive turning point in my life, and the albums that came out in the span of those two years still hold a really, really prominent place in my heart. Especially this one. (Fall Out Boy's From Under the Cork Tree, I think, is a close second.) I can never properly explain the deep-seated love I have for concept albums and rock operas, and I know it is probably sacrilege somehow, but my (probable) top three are Tommy, The Black Parade, and this. (not. in that order. obv. I love you Gerard but Billie Joe came first.) And just... fuck, when this came out, I was a frustrated little girl just starting to grow up, raised in a deliciously leftist environment with no real outlet for her (hilariously Democratic-biased) political views, and then the 2004 election happened, and this album was there to pick up the pieces of my broken miniature activist heart.

...To this day, I haven't listened to 21st Century Breakdown because I'm scared it won't live up to American Idiot. Shut up, okay, I know, I know.
