The eyes are not here
There are no eyes here
In this valley of dying stars
In this hollow valley
This broken jaw of our lost kingdoms

That sounds depressing...don't you know any other poems?

Yes.
I prefer existentialists at the moment, however.

Do they make you feel a little less existential yourself?

In ways.

I do enjoy Shakespeare on most occasions, however. I will admit to keeping a copy of Midsummer's Night Dream for light reading.

Why? There's no need to.

It's still hard for me to ask for help with the ardeur.

Mm.
How are you fairing with your curse of late? If one of us is to be ill, it would not due for me to ask favors of you.

This is the way the world ends.
Not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Indeed.
It has become a rather famous quote in recent years.

T. S. Eliot, my favorite poet. Alone with Robert Frost.

Even though he was wrong. I can say for certain that the world ended with a pretty big bang.

I have few preferences in poetry, but rather enjoy a wide range of authors.

Ah, but which world's end do you refer? Some worlds have since winked out of existence with nary a comment on their passing.

It is an allusion to the sunless lands, yes.

I have been concerned for you, child. Are you well?

Ah... I've been all right. I suppose I've just been staying off the network and exploring the city instead...

I've been a little homesick...

But, thank you for the concern.

Hmph. Yeah, not a cat speaking.
