My oldest nephew, Danny, turned 34 in Jan. He has never held a job for more than a few weeks, has a drug problem and doesn't have a place to stay. He has been hooking up with women and staying with them I used to pay for food and other bills. He doesn't get cash, though. I even bought a ton of stuff so that he could be warm when he went to Alaska

Is there anything more complicated, frustrating, or sad than family members who have lost their way? I am sorry to hear about Danny. You have a big heart, and it is painful to watch. But know that you are one of the few people in his life who has remained consistently kind, generous, and loving long after everyone else gave up on him.

His life is his own, and you can pray that he finds his way, but you can't pave it for him. He has to find his own path.
