I've been craving for some nonya kuihs recently so I borrowed my friend's recipe book and decided to try. It was a success ( yay!!) - here's my kaya & glutinous rice kuih :
The taste was not bad , considering I used pandan essence instead of juice cos I can't find pandan leaves here easily. Hubby & my friends loved it and ate lots and "ta bao-ed" home. They said it was 90% similar to the ones found in Bengawan Solo back home - wah , really?? Ha ha ah ha
I love baking but I can never finish anything I bake so I distribute. The only problem was I didn't have the right baking trays so the shape wasn't nice.

Josh loved it ( cos of , anything sweet!) He eats all the green kaya bits and leaves the glutinous rice! ha ha ha
This is hubby's fav nonya dessert , which is why I made it first. Next I'll try onde onde cos that's my fav!! :)
