Da4 Jing1 Xiao3 Guai4
For those who dont' know Chinese, it sort of means making a mountain out of a molehill.
There's supposedly a nice waterfall abt 2 hours drive from Noumea, a place called Madelaine Falls. We were on our way to a beach for a picnic so I had a dress over my swimsuit but hubby suggested we drive to the waterfall instead for a picnic and hike. Since hubby is up for it.. I said ok. I'll hike in my dress and slippers.
It was a scenic drive.. ..landscape kinda like scenes from " Lord of the Rings". But when we arrived at 'The Falls", it turned out to be the smallest waterfall I'd seen! Look !
And we weren't even allowed to swim in it or picnic by it cos it's a protected zone. We ended up eating while sitting on the boot of our car ( but Josh had fun cos he likes doing that)
CHEY !!! This is what I mean by "da jing xiao gui".
I mean, I wasn't expecting Niagra Falls but surely, something more like "kota tinggi" in M'sia??
Oh well... as they say, ca c'est New Cal ! Ha ha ha. At least Josh had a fun time- he loves the outdoors, just like Daddy. Poor hubby tho.. the drive was quite stressful, esp along the edge of the mountains.
